20. ng to the refrigerator water valve which is located in a box behind the refrigerator Place the hose in the desired direction and then tighten the connecting nut properly to prevent leakage The nut is only to be tightened by hand The water hose must not be cracked squeezed or be in tight bends The hose is finally to be fixed with the aid of the securing strip supplied The water coupling is then connected to a water tap with an external 3 4 inch thread This work is to be carried out by a skilled plumbing installation technician The refrigerator is to be connected with a shut off cock There are different type approved taps and tap assemblies on the market If you require a longer water hose than that supplied then a VDE approved 150 38 85 02 0 supply hose should be used Before the refrigerator is taken into use in its final location ensure that the water connection has been correctly carried out that there is no leakage at the connection to the refrigerator water valve or to the water tap and that the four spacers are properly in position see the illustration Installation of carbon filter On delivery the carbon filter is placed in a plastic bag to secure the length of life of the carbon filter The filter should be placed behind the grill before the appliance is turned on Open the grill and mount the carbon filter The cover can be opened by simultaneously pressing the lever on the right of grill 1 and turning the cover
