4. and the tape is fed out of the P Touch You can print out your mes sage as many times as you like by pressing the print key repeatedly You can vary the style and letter size delete characters from or add charac ters to the end of the message using the appropri ate keys To delete the entire message prior to inputting a new one hold down the key and press the 3 5 Cut the tape off When the P Touch has finished printing it will beep twice Press the tape cutter to cut off the tape Your message is automatically centered on the tape with 1 2 approx 12mm of margin at key LARGE each end Pressing the key feeds the tape out approximately an extra 4 5 approx 20mm Do not press the tape cutter lever while the P Touch is printing or is feeding the tape as this may cause the tape to jam 6 Peel off the backing Carefully peel the light blue backing off the tape using your fingernails then stick the tape onto the object you wish to label Changing the tape cassette 1 To remove the tape cassette compartment cover press the textured area of the catch located on the end of the machine closest to the tape cutter 2 Press down firmly on the catch so that the cover hinges up then remove it 3 Tiftout the old cassette Remove the paper tab from the new tape cassette Make sure that the cassette tape in the new cassette feeds through the guide post on the cassette A Insert th

9. tch located on the end of the machine furthest from the tape culler and pull the battery com partment cover away from the P Touch so that it disengages 2 Remove the old batteries and insert six new AA size alkaline batteries making sure that their orientation is as shown in the illustration engraved on the inside of the case The three batteries on top all point in one direction while the three underneath point in the oppo site direction Tape cassettes When inserting new batteries always insert them positive end first When removing old batteries always remove them negative end first Always replace worn out batteries with brand new ones and always replace all six at once 3 To replace the cover fit the tabs on the cover into the slot in the P Touch case and push down firmly on the catch at the opposite end of the cover so that the cover snaps securely back into place Care and precautions 1 Use a soft dry cloth to clean the machine 2 Use only AA size alkaline batteries 3 Do not expose the machine or the tape cassette to high temperature high humidity or exces sive dust 4 If you do not intend to use the machine for an extended period of time remove the batteries 5 Do not touch the cutter lever when printing and feeding or while replacing the cutter unit 6 Do not touch the cutter blade 7 Do not put the tapes in your mouth a Accessories 1 2 12mm 3 8 9mm
