Technical Bulletin Bulletin No TCH 005 015 Effective Date 1 21 09 Cancels N A Page 1 of 1 Subject Bendix Slack Adjuster Packaging Error Bendix Spicer Foundation Brake LLC has identified six non Bendix brand manual slack adjuster part numbers that were packaged in error as Bendix branded manual slack adjusters The affected manual slack adjusters were shipped by Bendix Spicer Foundation Brake LLC between September 2008 and December 2008 inclusive Part numbers impacted The potentially impacted Bendix manual slack adjusters have been identified as the following part numbers Bendix Slack Adjuster Bendix Manual Slack Adjuster Part Numbers 283411E 286965E Black Body 288753E 101289E Identifying the correct product These Bendix manual slack adjusters have a black e coated body and are stamped Made in USA above Bendix on the side plate as shown here If you have a slack adjuster that was packaged as one the above part numbers and does not meet these criteria it is not a Bendix manual slack adjuster and should be returned per the guidelines below Returning incorrectly packaged manual slack adjusters Once the slack adjuster has been identified as having been incorrectly packaged it should be segregated and returned to Bendix Spicer Foundation Brake LLC If your current parts inventory contains one or more of the improperly packaged manual slack adjusters delivered between2.
