10. rint This phenomenon is caused by the reflection of the electronic flash in the retina lt can be reduced when the surroundings of the subject are brightened or shooting distance is shorteried with the tens set at the wide angle position or by employing the red eye reduction ash feature Focus Lock Photography Focusing is performed in the autofocus frame X When the subject is not in the autofocus frame use the focus lock to take the picture Focus Lock Operation Place the subject in the autofocus frame 5 and press the shutter release button halfway to focus The subject will stay in focus as long as the shutter release button is kept at the halfway position and the green lamp is lit Now recompose the picture and press the shutter release button fully down to take the picture See figure FO The focus lock is released and the green lamp goes off when the shutter release button is released f you change the distance between the camera and the subject release the focus lock and refocus Self Timer Photography This function allows the photographer to include himself in the picture As illustrated when the self limer button is pressed the self timer lamp lights up and the timer starts as soon as the button is pressed The picture is taken 10 seconds after the button is pressed The lamp starts blinking during the final three seconds See figure I if you want to cancel the self timer after pressing the button
