Print from IS Complete Inc IrPrint provides printing capability in addition to the standard beam commands for Palm applications and allows you to print a weekly view of the calendar or Date Book application It also enhances the formatting of the printed materials For more information or technical support visit the IS Complete Web site at http www ISComplete com or contact by email at Support ISComplete com Supported Devices e Palm Ill Series Palm V Series Palm VII e HandSpring Visor Visor Deluxe IBM WorkPad System Requirements Palm device Palm OS Versions 3 0 to 3 5 Desktop computer e Windows 95 98 or NT 4 0 e Palm Install Tool and HotSync Manager IrPrint from IS Complete Inc Installing IrPrint on your Palm Device Performing a HotSync to the Palm Device Make sure that you previously installed the IrPrint application from the Additional Infrared Software CD to your desktop computer 1 Connect the Palm cradle to the serial port of your computer 2 Place the Palm device in the cradle 3 Make sure the HotSync Manager is running on your desktop computer Note To start up the HotSync Manager click Start gt Programs gt Palm Desktop gt HotSync Manager on your desktop computer 4 Press the HotSync button on the front of the cradle Note If this is the first time you have performed a HotSync operation a new user dialog box will appear Enter a user name and click OK The HotSync operati
3. h the device Continue to keep the device aimed at the printer s infrared port while the printer is receiving the file Receiving When the files begins printing Printing you can move the device away Note If the Palm device is moved out of range of the printer s infrared lens at any time during the printing process the printer will stop printing and await additional data If you realign the devices within approximately 3 30 seconds depending on the device the print job will resume
4. on starts up A message appears on the Palm device indicating it is connecting with the desktop computer When the synchronization process is finished a message appears on the Palm device indicating the HotSync operation is complete Printing using IrPrint Printing using IrPrint 1 Tap the Home button on the Palm device to display a list of available programs The IrPrint icon appears in the program list 2 Tap the IrPrint icon The IrPrint screen is displayed CO Date Book Address To Do List Mema Pad Mail IrDiscover About O Show Print Setup 3 Tap the icon for the IrPrint application you want to use The screen for the selected program appears 4 Select the category or view for the program 5 Place the Palm device so its infrared lens located on the top edge of the Palm device is up to 3 feet 1 meter from the printer and within a 30 degree total angle from the printer s infrared lens Note The path between the two infrared devices must be clear of obstacles Printing using IrPrint 6 Tap the Menu icon 7 Tap IrPrint in the menu Note If the IrPrint command does not appear in the menu IrPrint does not support the selected category or view 8 If printing the To Do list tap Today Tomorrow or All to select the records to print The IrPrint Setup box appears 9 Select from the available print options and tap OK The printer s LCD displays Connecting when it starts communicating wit
