SMUTTE CONSERVATIONIST Designed for use as a recovery heater having its own storage tank or booster for supplying sanitizing rinse water for dishwashing FEATURES GLASS LINED TANK Three sizes 52 80 and 119 gallon 189 300 450 Liter capacity Tank interior is coated with glass specially developed by A O Smith Ceramic Research for water heater use Tanks rated at 150 psi 1034 kPa working pressure tested at 300 psi 2068 kPa Foam insulation reduces costly heat loss ASME optional maximum working pressure is 160 psi 1100 kPa ELEMENTS Heavy duty elements have Incoloy sheaths and ceramic terminal block for rugged commercial service Medium watt density means lower surface temperature to minimize scale buildup and more surface to heat water Element sizes from 2 to 6 KW Use 3 6 or 9 elements maximum input 54 KW The design assures proper placement of elements in the tank to avoid bridging the sheaths with lime or scale deposits STANDARD VOLTAGES 208 220 240 and 440 480V single phase and three phase delta 277V single phase 380 416 and 575 600 volt three phase Y connected elements TERMINAL BLOCK Factory installed Just bring the service to the heater and connect to block MAGNETIC CONTACTORS Heavy duty CSA rated 100 000 cycles CONTROLS 120V control circuit is powered by fused transformer eliminating need for 120V service connection Immersion temperature control adjustable through a ran2. 2 5 124 9 108 3 DVE 52 54 DVE 80 54 DVE 120 54 194 9 149 9 129 9 208 volt models may contain three 3 additional elements SUGGESTED SPECIFICATIONS The heater s shall be Dura Power Commercial Electric Model Number as manufactured by A O Smith Enterprises Limited or equivalent Heater s shall be rated at KW V phase 60 cycle AC listed by Canadian Standards Association Tank s shall be gallon Liter capacity with 150 psi 1034 kPa working pressure and equipped with dual extruded high density anodes All internal surfaces of the heater s exposed to water shall be glass lined with an alkaline borosilicate composition that has been fused to steel by firing at a temperature range of 1400 F to 1600 F 760 to 870 C Electric heating elements shall be medium watt density screw in type with Incoloy sheath and ceramic terminal block Internal power circuit fusing shall be provided optional Element operation shall be 1 simultaneous or 2 sequenced with thermostats switched through individual magnetic contactors Control circuit shall be factory fused optional and include manual reset high temperature cutoff switch and thermostat with sensing element in tin plated well immersed in water Control cabinet and jacket shall be of baked enamel finish and shall provide full size control and element compartment for complete service and maintenance performance through front hinged compartment door and enclose tank with foam insulation 1 1 4
