Arc www apc com Smoke Sensor AP9323 A Do not connect the smoke sensor to anything other than the Environmental Management System Doing so could damage the sensor Warning The sensor will operate best if placed near the top of the enclosure Note Use the mounting bracket to install the sensor in an APC NetShelter or other standard 19 inch enclosure To install in a NetShelter enclosure 1 Remove the base of the sensor Smoke Sensor AP9323 3 Route the cable through the hole on the mounting bracket 4 Secure the sensor to the base rotate it clockwise and lock it in place 5 Choose a location in the enclosure for the sensor It may be mounted at any unused position along one of the front or rear vertical mounting rails 6 Install two caged nuts provided with the enclosure above and below a notched hole on one vertical mounting rail in your chosen location The sensor occupies two U spaces A notched hole on the enclosure s vertical rail denotes the middle of a U space Note N Cc gogod oo d ggo 2 Smoke Sensor AP9323 Smoke Sensor A P9323 7 Turn the mounted sensor over so that the cable points toward the roof of the enclosure Align the mounting holes of the bracket with the installed caged nuts Insert and tighten the screws provided with the enclosure 8 Neatly route and secure the 12 foot cord with tie wraps or cable clips 9 Plug the smoke sensor into the por2. e and NetShelter are trademarks of American Power Conversion Corporation and may be registered in some jurisdictions All other trademarks product names and corporate names are the property of their respective owners and are used for informational purposes only 990 1363 05 2003
