ANY OTHER LIQUID e Ensure that the unit is unplugged from the electrical outlet and that the parts are completely cool before cleaning e When using your unit for the first time you may notice some smoke and odor This is caused by the unit burning off the protective coating applied during the manufacturing process It is normal and harmless and will go away with subsequent use If the odor and smoke persist discontinue use of the product immediately and contact customer service NOTE Ensure that the Hot Dog Toaster is placed atop a stable flat heat resistant surface where the appliance won t easily tip over or fall 1 2 A Ensure all parts are clean and thoroughly dry Insert two regular sized hot dogs into the Hot Dog Basket and place the basket into the middle slot on the toaster Take two regular sized sets of hot dog buns open them up and insert them into the outer slots on the toaster Plug the power cord into a standard 120 V outlet Turn the knob to the desired heat setting Push the lever found on top of the selector knob down until it locks into place to initiate the cooking process NOTE If you wish to interrupt or cancel the cooking process simply press the STOP button found next to the selector knob The hot dog basket along with the buns will pop up when the cooking process has ended Unplug the unit from the electrical outlet and allow it cool Carefully remove the hot dogs and buns using the tongs provi
