60. able today Steam vent and pressure regulator Beware of hot steam coming out of the steam vent and the pressure regulator when the rice cooker is operating During cooking steam pressure builds up inside the rice cooker The pressure regulator regulates the amount of pressure built up inside the rice cooker It is normal for the pressure regulator to rock gently during cooking The steam pressure built up inside the rice cooker is automatically released before the end of the cooking process If a cooking process is interrupted e g during a power failure the automatic safety system keeps the rice cooker locked until the pressure inside the cooker has dropped to a safe level Do not try to open the lid by forcibly turning the lid lock lever to UNLOCK position during a cooking process or immediately after a cooking process is interrupted Power failure backup function This appliance has a backup function that remembers the status before a power failure provided the power supply is resumed within 2 hours If the power failure occurs during a cooking process the countdown of the cooking time continues where it left off when the power supply resumes f the power failure lasts longer than 2 hours and the failure occurs during a cooking process the rice cooker automatically resets to standby mode when the power supply resumes Open the rice cooker remove its contents and start all over again f you have set the timer and the preset cooking proce
