SMART SYNC Setting uo SMART School files SMART Sync Administrator Tool enables you to create and update SMART School school files A SMART School file contains information about students teachers classes and computer labs in your school as well as rules that teachers can apply to block student access to applications and websites If you specify the location of a SMART School file in SMART Sync Teacher teachers can use this information to connect to their students In most situations you need to create only one SMART School file per school so that all teachers and students in the school can connect to each other For security reasons when you create the file save it in a location accessible to teachers and network administrators but not to students After you create the file you can update it at any time Creating or opening a SMART School file The first step in setting up a SMART School file is to create or open the file using SMART Sync Administrator Tool 1 On the teacher or administrator computer double click the SMART Sync Administrator Tool 2010 icon on your desktop 2 Click School File 3 Click Create anew SMART School file and save it as 4 Click Browse The Select School File Location dialog box appears 5 Browse to the folder where you want to create the SMART School file IMPORTANT For security reasons create the SMART School file in a folder accessible to teachers and network administrators but not t
