Disassembly Fomei Removing the System Memory RAM je Module The computer has two memory sockets for 200 pin Small Outline Dual In line Memory Modules SO DIMM DDR II id DDR2 supporting 800 MHz The main memory can be expanded up to 2GB The SO DIMM modules supported are 1024MB and 2048MB DDR Modules The total memory size is automatically detected by the POST routine once you a Remove the screws turn on your computer b Lift off the bay cover and disconnect the Memory Upgrade Process fan cable 1 Turn off the computer and turn it over and remove the battery page 2 5 2 Locate the RAM amp CPU bay cover and remove screws O 3 Carefully a fan and cable are attached to the under side of the cover lift up the bay cover 5 4 Carefully disconnect the fan cable 9 and remove the cover 5 Caution The heat sink and CPU area in general contains parts which are subject to high tem peratures Allow the area time to cool before removing these parts La KA e CN RAM Module Speeds A 5 RAM 8 CPU Bay Cover Use either 800MHz DDRII DDR2 mod ules of the same brand Do not mix DRAM speeds brands in order to prevent unexpected system behavior e 4 Screws 2 8 Removing the System Memory RAM Disassembly 5 Gently pull the two release latches amp on the sides of the memory socket in the direction indicated by the arrows Figure c Figure 5 6 The RAM
