ANT200 Manual 7 31 95 6 10 99 p AM Page 1 RCA Amplified TV Antenna Thank you for choosing the RCA Amplified TV Antenna You have selected a fine product designed to provide years of performance Before attempting to use your antenna please remove all parts from the box and read the installation and use instructions carefully Included with the antenna are Y Band Separator Y Matching Transformer Y 120 VAC 60 Hz to 12 VDC 200mA Wall Adapter Five Year Limited Warranty ANT200 a ANT200 Manual 7 31 95 6 10 99 p AM Page 2 Important Safeguards Read and follow the instructions before operating o Retain the instructions for future use Follow all warnings on the adapter and instructions Water and Moisture Do not use this antenna near water Keep away from a bathtub sink wet basement or swimming pool and other wet places Power Source The wall adapter for this antenna should be operated only from a stan dard 120 V 60 Hz wall outlet If you are not sure of the type of power supply to your home contact your local power company Ventilation Slots and openings in the cabinets are provided for ventilation and to ensure reliable operation and prevent overheating Do not use on a bed sofa rug or similar surface Servicing Do not attempt to service this antenna yourself as opening or removing covers may expose you to dangerous voltage or other hazards and voids your warranty Refer servicing to qualified service per2. Page 4 Installation Hooking Up To The Antenna Input On Your TV Or VCR Your antenna may be hooked up directly to your TV or VCR 1 Locate the Antenna In connector on the back of your TV or VCR 2 Screw the end of the antenna cable to the Antenna In connector on the back of your TV or VCR E ANTENNA 300 OHM Hook Up If you own a TV that will not allow direct hook up to the Antenna In connector see the diagrams below for hooking up with the band separator and matching transformer Screw the Antenna cable into UHF _2 8 the band separator included q ye Screw the VHF antenna cable oa m 2 into the VHF terminal and Ban VHF o attach the UHF antenna lead to the UHF screws on the TV Screw the Antenna cable into q d E ie the band separator included H L Connect the VHF cable from the VHF 8 band separator to the 75 300 Band ohm transformer included Separator 75 300 ohm Connect the VHF and UHF Matching Transformer antenna leads to the corre sponding VHF and UHF Screws on the TV ANT200 Manual 7 31 95 6 10 99 p AM Page 5 Hooking Up a CABLE SATELLITE or DIGITAL SATELLITE SYS TEM to your antenna Your cable satellite or Digital Satellite System can be directly connected to the AN T200 allowing access to off air local programming By a simple flick of a switch on the back of the antenna yo

C adapter and antenna Do not expose the AC adapter and antenna to moisture of any kind Use of any AC adapter notincluded with the antenna or recommended or sold by the antenna manufacturer may result in a risk of fire electric shock or injury and will void your warranty To reduce risk of damage to the AC adapter do not pull on the cord to dis connect from the wall outlet Instead disconnect the unit from the outlet by pulling on the plug rather than the cord Make sure the cord is located so thatit will not be stepped on tripped over or otherwise subjected to damage or stress Do not operate AC adapter or antenna with a damaged cord or plug Replace it immediately Do not operate the AC adapter or antenna if it has received a sharp blow been dropped or otherwise damaged in any way Do notdisassemble the AC adapter or antenna Incorrect reassembly may result in a risk of electric shock Disassembly of product by unauthorized personnel will result in voiding your product warranty To reduce the risk of electric shock unplug AC adapter from outlet before attempting any maintenance or cleaning Do not install the antenna near heat sources such as radiators or air ducts or in a place subject to direct sunlight excessive dust mechanical vibra tion or shock Do not use alcohol benzine or thinner to clean antenna s surfaces Be sure to save instructions for future reference ANT200 Manual 7 31 95 6 10 99 p AM

7. u can switch from your local off air programming to cable satellite or Digital Satellite System programming A To hook up your cable satellite or Digital Satellite System to the ANT200 connect the OUT TO TV cable from the system to the connector marked CABLE on the antenna see diagram B W hen the switch is in the CABLE position the signal from your cable satellite or Digital Satellite System will pass through the antenna to your TV or VCR without interference see diagram C When the switch is in the ANTENNA position you will receive local programming from off air signals via the ANT200 see diagram ANT200 Manual 7 31 95 6 10 99 p AM Page 6 Power The ANT200 operates on DC power via a 120 VAC wall adapter Don t plug the wall adapter into any other power source To power your antenna 1 Connect the power supply to your antenna by plugging the cord into the jack marked 12VDC 200mA on the back of the antenna 2 Plug the wall adapter into a 120 VAC 60Hz wall outlet 3 Turn the antenna on by rotating the Power Control Dial clockwise until the green power indicator lights Tuning and Adjustments Take the following steps to tune and adjust your antenna 1 Select the channel you want to watch 2 Turn the antenna power on by rotating the Power Control Dial just to the point that the green light glows 3 Move the extended dipoles channels 2 13 or the loop channels 14 and higher until you get the be
