16. e 20 7 Using the Digital Drum Software amp Game This chapter discusses the DrumXtreme Software program including the Game program First is a discussion of what you need to do before starting the program followed by a discussion of the operation of the program 7 1 Before Starting the DrumXtreme Software Program This section shows how to verify your computer s settings and lists some checks to insure that your drum beats can be synchronized with music playing on the CD ROM You may first need to exit certain programs as noted in this section 1 Before launching the Drum Extreme software please enable un mute your volume control and set the speakers to a comfortable volume level for music playback You may want to play some music on your CD ROM first to adjust the volume level while playing the music 2 Turn off any screen saver programs by setting the screen saver default as None This setting can be accessed under the Display section of your Windows Control Panel left click on START then select SETTINGS then click on Control Panel and double click on Display Copyright 2003 Pacific Digital Corporation Page 21 3 To improve the efficiency of DrumXtreme software and also to insure that your drum beats can be synchronized to music playing on the CD ROM please close other software programs that normally run in the background such as Anti virus programs or other monitoring software 4 You may also need to c
