Attention The handset if switched off automatically switches on when placed in the charger Charge display A battery charge status symbol appears on the display When the battery is nearly discharged the battery charge status symbol flashes and a warning tone sounds If you are on a call when this happens the handset switches off after approximately 3 to 5 minutes If you are not on a call and the handset is not in the charging station the message Battery empty appears on the display You cannot make calls while this message appears The following table shows the battery charge status icons Table 1 Battery charge status icons Description less than 33 more than 33 and less than 75 more than 75 Note 4075 only You can configure the LED indicator to flash when the handset battery is low When you place the handset on the charger the LED indicator turns off See Configuring the LED Indicator 4075 only page 158 for more details Switching the handset on or off To switch your handset on or off perform the following step a 1 Long press the Clr key to switch your handset on or off Display areas The DECT 4027 4070 and 4075 Handsets include a Liquid Crystal Display LCD and the DECT 4070 and 4075 include a backlit dialpad The DECT 4075 handset also includes an LED indicator above the display area to the left of the speaker The display is divided into the following three area
