1. 4. off the unit press the Power On Off Button on the main unit or the remote control The TV tuner allows you to listen to basic broadcast channels 2 13 With TV mode selected tune in stations as in step 3 above The unit can also receive the NOAA weather channel for your area There are 7 channels in all but typically only the closest will come in With Weather mode selected follow step 3 above to find the weather channel for your area Presetting Your Favorite Station You can preset 16 stations 8 for FM 4 stations in FM1 4 stations in FM2 and 4 stations in both TV and Weather channels Presetting a Station 1 Follow step 1 to 4 in Listening to Radio above to tune in the station you wish to preset 2 Hold P E the Q Preset Button you wish to preset for about 2 seconds You will hear beep tone to confirm the station is stored 3 To preset another station repeat these steps To change a preset station tune into the desired new station and hold down the Q Preset Button The new station will replace the previously preset station and the preset number will appear Tuning into a Preset Station Press Q9 Radio Mode Button on the main unit or the remote control to turn on the radio Press Radio Mode Button to select the band ud E desired Preset Button The corresponding station channel and preset info will show on the lower part of the display Press the Volume and Volume Button on the main unit or the remote contro
5. you start each hole before drilling by first marking the center point of the guide hole then pressing an awl or nail into the mark Always wear safety goggles when operating a drill For ease and accuracy of drilling it s a good idea to drill pilot holes next using a 1 16 bit Finally use a sharp 1 4 drill bit to carefully drill 4 holes through the cabinet Make sure all holes are drilled straight and not at an angle Remove any debris c Remove the template DRILLING TIPS You may first wish to place masking tape over the opposite side you are drilling to avoid splintering Hold drill firmly to avoid the bit walking 2 Insert Spacers a Place the needed spacers into the mounting posts on top of the unit 3 Mount unit to cabinet a From inside the cabinet place a finishing washer above each hole and screw the 4 screws through any spacers into the mounting holes on the unit Make sure the unit is supported until the screws are tightened NOTE For secure mounting the screws must go into the iH36 at least 3 8 OPTION You may prefer to countersink the drilled holes from inside the cabinet if you have the correct countersink attachment for your drill This will make the screw heads flush with the cabinet surface b Tighten the screws using a Phillips head screwdriver CAUTION DO NOT USE POWER TOOLS TO TIGHTEN SCREWS Once the unit its securely mounted plug into a nearby 120Volt outlet Note that there is a built in cord
6. 4 For iPod Shuffle just plug it into the shuffle connector located on the bottom of the unit The iPod Shuffle will keep Press the Dock Open Close Button again to close the dock The iPod will recharge whether the dock is open or not charging until fully charged 13 Listening to Your iPod Note iPod Shuffle operation differs from that of other iPods See the Shuffle section below for more on using your Shuffle 1 N O OF Dock the already playing iPod The iH36 will automatically tum on and you will hear the music playing from your iPod Note If the playing song music loudness on the iPod itself is too low the iH36 may not detect that the iPod is in play mode Press the iPod Play Pause Button on the main unit or 9 Play Pause Button on the remote control twice to play it When the iPod is docked and in standby mode press the iPod Play Pause Button on the main unit or 9 Play Pause Button on the remote control to play it The iPod Icon will appear on the display If the dock is closed and you are not using 3rd generation iPod or iPod shuffle playing song info will show on the display Note When dock is closed you can only play songs on current playlist Note When using a 5G iPod iPod with video make sure to exit video playback mode before closing the dock Note DO NOT close the dock while watching a video on the 5G iPod Press the iPod Play Pause Button again to pause play press again to resume it

Volume Button DST Switch B Volume Button D Mute Button D Preset Button Clock Adj Button B Time Zone Button 12 Maintenance Place the unit away from sources of direct sunlight or excessive heat Clean your unit with a soft cloth moistened only with mild soap and water Stronger cleaning agents such as Benzine thinner or similar materials can mar the surface of the case Setting Up This unit has a Clock which is preset at the factory It takes just a few steps to match the clock setting to where you live T 2 3 4 Depending on your location and whether or not Daylight Saving Time DST is in effect set the 9 DST Switch located on the bottom of the unit to 1 or 1 to adjust the time forward or backward one hour Press and hold the 9 Time Zone Button located on the bottom of the unit for approx 2 seconds until the Time Zone Indicator at the lower part of the display shows the current time zone and flashes Press the Select Up FF or Q Select Down Rew Buttons to select the time zone Press the 9 Time Zone Button again to or if no key pressed for approx 10 seconds exit the setting mode If the time showing is not correct please see Setting Time and Calendar to set the clock Note You can adjust the contrast of the display by pressing and holding the 9 Time Zone Button until the zone display flashes and then pressing the Preset 1 or Preset 2 button to achieve the preferre

10. d contrast Setting Time and Calendar I 3 4 Press and hold the Clock Adj Button located on the bottom of the unit for 2 seconds until the year is flashing in the display Press the button again to accept the current setting or press the Select Up or Select Down Button until the current year is displayed Press the Clock Adj Button to confirm year setting after adjustment The display will change to show the date flashing Press the Clock Adj Button to accept the current setting or press the Select Up or Select Down Button until the current date is displayed Holding the button for a few seconds will advance or reverse rapidly Press the Clock Adj Button to confirm date setting after adjustment The time on the upper part of display will flash Press the Select Up or Select Down Button until the current time is displayed Holding the button for a few seconds will advance or reverse rapidly Remember to set the correct AM or PM Press the Clock Adj Button again to or if no key pressed for approx 10 seconds exit the setting mode Charging your iPod Note Please make sure you are using the correct insert for your iPod see Install iPod Insert on page 10 and that it is properly docked into the iH36 Failure to do so may damage your iPod I Press the 6 Dock Open Close Button to open the iPod dock then dock your iPod into it 2 While your iPod is docked in the system it recharges until fully charged 3

21. nto the outlet try reversing the plug If the plug still fails to fit contact your electrician to replace your obsolete outlet Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized plug by forcing the plug into the outlet 6 Power Cord Protection Power supply cords should be routed so that they are not likely to be walked on or pinched by items placed upon or against them It is always best to have a clear area from where the cord exits the unit to where it is plugged into an AC outlet 7 Cleaning The unit should be cleaned only as recommended See the Maintenance section of this manual for cleaning instructions A Consumer Guide to Product Safety 8 Objects and Liquid Entry Care should be taken so that objects do not fall and liquids are not spilled into any openings or vents located on the product 9 Attachments Do not use attachments not recommended by the product manufacturer 10 Lightning and Power Surge Protection Unplug the unit from the wall outlet and disconnect the antenna or cable system during a lightning storm or when it is left unattended and unused for long periods of time This will prevent damage to the product due to lightning and power line surges 11 Overloading Do not overload wall outlets extension cords or integral convenience receptacles as this can result in a risk of fire or electric shock 12 Damage Requiring Service The unit should be serviced by qualified service personnel when A the power s
