MUU nre ia ee OS Wp T M e i L re fi Inset AN de O FEL a i Eny Square B 3 Opening 5 Cogn A e Insert two 8 x 1 screws through the holes in the dash and into the vehicle body e Tighten the screws with a Phillips screwdriver Do not over tighten NSU Bottom View e Position the vehicle body on its side e Fit the straight end of the steering column up through the square opening in the vehicle body and out through Steering Wheel Top Half the large round hole in the dash Make sure the steer ing column is positioned between the guides on the underside of the vehicle body e Insert the end of the steering column through the hole in the steering linkage See inset Steering Cap Nut Steering Wheel Bottom Half mme e Fit the top and bottom halves of the steering wheel together e Insert four 6 x 2 screws through the holes in the bottom half of the steering wheel and into the top half of the steering wheel e Tighten the screws with a Phillips screwdriver Do not over tighten e Set the steering wheel aside N lt lt e Turn the vehicle body upright e Align the keyed hole in the center of the steering wheel with the ribs on the steering column and fit the steering wheel onto the steering column The base of the steer ing wheel should fit into the large hole in the dash e Fit a cap nut onto the end of the steering

Vehicle runs sluggishly Possible Cause Undercharged battery Solution Charge the battery A new battery should have been charged for at least 18 hours before using the vehicle for the first time After first time use recharge the battery for at least 14 hours after each use Never charge the battery longer than 30 hours Check all connectors Make sure the battery connector is tightly plugged into the charger connector and that the charger is plugged into the wall Make sure power flow to the wall outlet is ON Battery needs charging After approximately 3 hours of constant use the battery needs charging Wrong type or improperly installed fuse Make sure that the battery has a properly installed Power Wheels 25 amp fuse installed before charging For best performance do not use substitute parts Battery is old and will not accept full charge Even with proper care rechargeable batteries do not last forever Average battery life is 1 to 3 years depending on the vehicle use and use conditions Replace the battery with a Power Wheels Type H 6 volt battery For best perfor mance do not use substitute parts Vehicle is overloaded Make sure you do not overload the vehicle by allowing more than 1 rider at one time exceeding the 50 Ibs maximum weight capacity or by towing objects behind the vehicle If the vehicle is overloaded the fuse in the battery may blow Remove the fuse from the

15. column e Tap the cap nut with a hammer to secure it on the steering column Helpful Hint You may want the help of another person to support the steering column while you tap the cap nut with the hammer Assembly Steering Wheel Steering Wheel Cap 8 Radio Knobs Shifter Activity Panel e Fit the steering wheel cap into the center of the steering e From the front of the activity panel snap in the radio wheel with the screw holes aligned knobs e Insert two 8 x 1 screws into the holes in the steering e Snap in the shifter with the wide part of the shifter han wheel cap dle to the right e Tighten the screws with a Phillips screwdriver Do not e Set the activity panel aside over tighten OUT 9 W Assembly Instrument Panel e Position the vehicle body on its side WAS e Fit a cap nut onto the end of the steering column Steering e Support the steering column and tap the cap nut with a j Wheel hammer to secure it on the steering column Radio Dial Activity Panel Label 28 X Label 23 e Using safety scissors separate the activity panel and the instrument panel Dispose of the plastic connector e Apply labels 23 and 28 to the radio dial e From the back of the activity panel fit one end of
