2. e Do not attempt angled cuts It will damage the blade Hold the material squarely between the blades e Cut clean material to extend the blade life Wipe dirt and debris from material and blades before beginning the cut Jam Release If the blade becomes jammed in the material all fuel gauge LEDs will blink Follow these steps in order until the jam is released 1 Move the speed control switch to 1 and attempt to complete the cut If unsuccessful 2 Move the speed control switch between 1 and 2 several times back and forth Pull the blade release lever If the jam is not released 3 Remove the battery pack then use the hex wrench to loosen the blade release bolt Loosen the bolt until the bolt collar is free of the blade Pull the blade release lever Be sure to securely tighten the blade bolt before continuing work If the jam is not released 4 Remove the upper blade bolt Be sure to securely tighten the upper blade bolt before continuing work Troubleshooting Maintaining Tool Keep your tool battery pack and charger in good repair by adopting a regular maintenance program After six months to one year depending on use return the tool battery pack and charger to a MILWAUKEE service facility for e Lubrication e Mechanical inspection and cleaning gears spindles bearings housing etc e Electrical inspection battery pack charger motor e Testing to assure pro

5. he tool To insert the battery slide the pack into the body of the tool Make sure it latches securely into place Changing the Blades Replace the blades when they becomes dull or chipped A blade is dull when blade edge appears dull rounded or damaged Always replace blades as a set Use only MILWAUKEE blade Part No Beene Always remove battery pack before changing or removing accessories Only use accessories specifi cally recommended for this tool Others may be hazardous NE Blade is sharp Keep hands away from cutting edge Lac eration can occur Remove the battery pack Remove the upper blade bolt with the wrench provided Pull off the upper blade keeping hands away from the cutting edge Remove the blade release bolt Pull off the lower blade keeping hands away from the cutting edge Insert the new lower blade keeping hands away from the cutting edge Insert the blade release bolt and tighten securely with the wrench provided Ensure the bolt extends no more than 3 1mm 1 8 above the side of the blade If bolt extends 6 3mm 1 4 above the mammas blade the bolt is not properly Correct Incorrect seated in the blade bolt hole 9 Insert the upper blade onto the keyed spindle 10 Insert the upper blade bolt and u tighten securely with the wrench provided 0 N O OF 0 N Fuel Gauge Pull the trigger to display the battery pack s remain ing run t
6. ime Selecting Speed Select low speed 1 for harder materials Select high speed 2 for softer materials Cutting A WARNING To reduce the risk of injury Do not cut short pieces of material that put fingers near blades Blade is sharp Wear safety goggles or glasses with side shields Material may crack or shatter Blade is sharp Keep hands away from cutting edges and moving parts Laceration and amputation can occur Before cutting ensure upper blade bolt and blade release bolt are securely tightened 1 Pull the blade release lever to open the jaws 2 Insertthe workpiece squarely between the lower blade and the upper blade Do not attempt to make angled cuts as it will damage the work piece and blade 3 Hold the tool firmly and support the workpiece Ensure the workpiece is straight and centered in the jaws Keep hands away from blades 4 Press down on the trigger unlock button and pull the trigger Workpiece may move slightly during the cut 5 When the cut is complete release the trigger A WARNING To reduce the risk of injury always move blade to the fully closed position before storing and any time the tool is not in use A WARNING To reduce the risk of injury only cut recommended materials see Specifications Do not attempt to cut other materials Cutting Tips e Use low speed and cut further in from the end of the material to avoid crooked cuts
