Storing Image Data ona USB Flash Memory Device When a USB flash memory device is inserted into the USB host port on the front of the printer on screen image data which was captured is stored as JPEG Joint Photographic Experts Group image data on the USB flash memory device when you print this captured image data for the first time You can see the image data stored in the USB flash memory via a personal computer equipped with a USB port File name of the image Each time you print image data captured by pressing the PRINT button the image data is stored as JPEG image data with a name assigned in order from UP_0001 to UP_9999 In the case of reduced images each reduced image is stored as one file However the image data is stored only when it is printed for the first time Image data printed once is not stored again Also the time stamp is added to the file To make printouts with the correct date Following preparations are necessary Inserting a lithium battery For detailed information see Inserting a battery on page 9 Setting the date and time For detailed information see Setting Date and Time on page 18 If alithium battery has not been inserted beforehand the correct time stamp is not recorded even if you set the date and time The time advances while the printer is powered When it is turned off the internal clock stops When it is turned on again the internal clock starts from the time when the ima

60. densation may form inside the printer In such cases the printer will probably not work properly Precaution and may even develop a fault if you persist in using it If condensation forms turn off the power and leave the printer to stand for at least one hour If the printing pack is subjected to wide or sudden changes in temperature condensation may form on the ink ribbon or paper This will cause the printer to malfunction Also if the printing pack is used in this state spots are likely to appear on the printout Therefore avoid storing the printing pack in locations subject to wide or sudden changes of temperature To store a half used printing pack replace it in its original packing and reseal the package If possible keep the sealed printing pack in a cool dark location To subsequently use the printing pack place it in its sealed package in a warm room for several hours Doing so prevents condensation from forming when the printing pack is removed from its package Location To prevent internal heat built up leave enough room around the printer for air to circulate through the vents on the left hand side and top of the cabinet Before Transporting the Printer Before transporting the printer remove ink ribbon cartridge and paper tray and then put them back into their original packing Transporting the printer with the supplied accessories still installed may cause malfunctions Cleaning Be sure to turn off
