8. 1 Monterey Linux ShM M 500R The IPMB driver was modified to improve fault detection when the ShMM 12C buffers are bypassed on physical star IPMB 0 implementations In addition to the previous modifications now potential collisions on IPMB during reattachment are handled correctly 2 When sending a Platform Event Trap the Shelf Manager now verifies that the corresponding network adapter is physically connected to the network and returns failure if this is not the case This is done to improve the delivery reliability for unacknowledged Platform Event Traps 3 The IPM controller firmware revision description produced by the CLI ipme v command now includes a three part representation of the revision number x y z in addition to the two part representation x yz since the three part convention is used in some contexts Bug fixes 1 The CLI sometimes incorrectly displayed the message No IPM FRUs found together with other valid error messages 2 The IPMB status changed bits could be incorrectly shown in the debug log in the case of an IPMB error 2 4 New and changed features 1 Support has been added for ShMM carriers that implement physical star IPMB 0 in such a way that I C buffers on the ShMM are bypassed This feature in the Shelf Manager relies on support in Monterey Linux The changes in the Shelf Manager are carrier specific On some carriers with this support this mode of operation is unconditional on
