1. in the pressure tube or check valve If necessary replace this wearable part and ensure that the nipple attachments to the pressure tube are always clean 11 Remove the collar and air cap 12 In order to remove the needle first unscrew the fluid control knob making sure not to lose the spring Squeeze the trigger and pull the needle out 13 Use your wrench to remove the fluid nozzle in the front of the Spray gun 14 Place the needle fluid nozzle and air cap into a small bucket of cleaning solution to soak While it s OK to soak these parts it s never OK to soak the complete Spray gun in solvent gt For T Series ALSO remove the Air Diffuser Diffuser Seal and the Air Divider Place these parts into a small bucket of cleaning solution to soak for a few minutes 15 Once you remove these items from soaking use the cleaning brush to clean these small parts gt It may be hard to see paint stuck in the small holes so a smaller mini brush could be used to clear these passages Be sure that the holes or horns in the air cap are clear Sometimes a toothpick or soft pipe cleaners come in handy when cleaning these holes 16 Use the cleaning brush on the needle or wipe the needle down with a rag PLEASE NOTE that you should never use a wire brush or anything metal to clean your spray gun This will likely cause damage Page 2 Cleaning Your HVLP Spray Gun 2013 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 ASSEMBLY Re assemble the gun2. Page 1 Cleaning Your HVLP Spray Gun 2013 Cleaning Your HVLP Spray Gun CLEANING SUPPLIES 1 Water or Solvent 2 Cleaning buckets for soaking parts and dumping waste 3 Rags or Paper Towels 4 Cleaning brushes and toothpicks 5 Wrench 6 Gun Oil 7 Safety Glasses 8 Rubber Gloves DIS ASSEMBLY and CLEANING 1 Pour the material out of your cup 2 Use a solvent soaked rag to clean the residue in the cup 3 Remove the filter at the base of the feeding tube 4 Add water or solvent to the cup to about halfway Tighten the lid and swirl it around 5 Attach your gun to the hose and turbine and spray the cleaning solution into a waste bucket or into a clean rag to avoid filling the room with unnecessary spray 6 Repeat and spray until the solution runs clean gt Ifyou have a gravity cup it can be cleaned without hooking up to the hose Simply unwind the fluid knob at the rear of the gun and pull the trigger the solvent or thinner will stream out of the fluid nozzle 7 Pour any remaining solution into your waste bucket 8 This step could be repeated until clean 9 Take arag and wipe both the inside and outside of the cup until it s clean Be sure to clean the lid of the cup as well 10 Do an inspection of the pressure tube and check valve Make sure that there is no material inside that could dry causing an obstruction to the air flow We find that most problems associated with any spray gun are due to a blockage
3. in the reverse order to how it was taken apart For T Series Position the small round hole on the Air Divider to 12 o clock This will match up to the same sized hole on the gun body Place Diffuser Seal onto back of Diffuser gt Note there is a locating pin behind the diffuser and when re assembling this pin must be seated properly into the matching hole in the Air Divider at 12 o clock Replace the fluid nozzle with a wrench making sure that it is nice and tight gt If it is loose it could allow material to contaminate your gun the next time you spray Apply some lubricant or oil to the shaft of the needle and insert it back into the gun gt Avoid applying oil to the front of the needle as this is the part that comes into contact with your finish Put the spring back into place and screw on the fluid control knob Replace the Aircap and the Collar Wipe the body of the gun down until it is nice and clean If you follow these maintenance steps you will ensure that your spray gun will not only last for a very long time but will maintain its peak performance Happy Spraying FUJI SPRAY Proudly Canadian fl a ff
