2. erials Avoid the contact of the detector with any of these substances v MAINTENANCE In the case of serious contamination disconnect the detector from the battery and clean the surface of the detector with a damp cloth To maintain the proper functioning of the detector it is also necessary to calibrate the instrument to carry out calibration at least once a year i e setting the detection limits checking the responsiveness of the sensor checking the functionality of the detector The exact time interval depends on the purity of the environment the level of accura cy required and the occurrence of selective gases in the environment Note In the event of frequent use we recommend carrying out calibration at least once every six months Calibrate the device at an authorised service centre holding a valid certificate from the manufacturer or at the manufacturer s premises v GENERAL WARRANTY TERMS AND CONDITIONS When following the instructions for installation operation and maintenance the manufacturer guarantee 24 months from the date of receipt for the product Should the product purchased be put into operation by an entity other than the seller the warranty period commences from the date that the product is put into operation provided that the buyer ordered its commissioning within three weeks of its receipt The customer expressly acknowledges that during the warranty period that extends beyond the length of the warranty period that i

8. will be carried out at the same time ALARM ACTIVATION The alarm will sound when the value measured exceeds the preset alarm limit When the alarm limits of level 1 are exceeded the acoustic alarm will switch on at signal level 1 and the yellow indicator will start flashing When the alarm limits of level 2 are exceeded the acoustic alarm will switch on at signal level 2 and the red light will start flashing v CAUTION 1 This detector is a sensitive measuring instrument Avoid damaging it and keep it away from water and hot objects with a temperature of above 60 C 2 In the event of long periods of measurement turn off the backlight thereby you will reduce the energy consumption of the appliance and prolong its battery life 3 If the display is showing the Emm symbol the battery is fully charged During gradual discharging the dark coloured boxes on the display decrease The L gt symbol indicates that the battery status of your device is too low for it to function normally In this case the battery should be replaced as soon as possible Turn off the unit and then remove the old batteries and insert new ones 4 If no button has been pressed while the detector has been in the setting mode for 10 minutes it turns off automatically 5 The activation of the acoustic alarm indicates that the concentration of carbon monoxide has exceeded the alarm limit Take all requisite steps to protect lives and property 6 If the unit is not go
