Performs Apteryx general enhancement imaging algorithms on an image OFF CustomEnhancement Performs custom imaging algorithms on an image OFF General Endo Enhancement lt No Real Time Filters Performs general endo enhancement on an image Image Filters Options Enables you to modify the options associated with the various imaging algorithms 5 8 7 The indicator bar text will change when a filter is enabled RTF Aptens General Enhancement Apteryx Inc Page 48 of 106 APTERYX XrayVision User Manual custom software 6 IMAGE MANAGEMENT This section of the manual will cover various image management utilities such as importing from external sources exporting for use with claims or referrals or moving images between patient records 6 1 Importing Images There may be times when a dental practice takes or receives images from a source outside of XrayVision and they wish to associate those files with an existing patient Importing those images into XrayVision will allow them to be stored in the patient s database record for future viewing Images captured from digital cameras or toher external sources are normally stored by the user in a known location on the local hard drive XrayVision provides several options to import and associate external files to a patient s record e Standard Import Utility e Open File Direct e Auto Import Utility 6 1 1 XrayVision also supports the Microsoft Windows dra

Sensor the user will be prompted to select the appropriate sensor extension for capture Oo The Capture Layout screen will not be launched when using this option Instead the hardware interface will display as if it is ready for a single image capture and the image will return to the selected layout tile after acquisition Take Retake From The Take Retake From button i allows the user to take an image for the selected tile from a different hardware source than the one that is specified for the layout Refer to section 4 1 1 Capture Buttons for more information about the various capture options 4 2 3 Recording Images in a Layout a Images in a layout can be reordered by selecting the Move Layout Images button at the top of the layout viewing window This tool allows the user to move images from one tile to another Oo Tooth associations for a moved image will automatically be updated based upon the tooth numbers assigned to its new tile Clicking the Move Layout Images button will launch the Reorganize Layout Images window Click and hold an image with the left mouse button and drag the image to a new tile If the user is attempting to swap images they may see a screen like the one shown below after moving the first image Oo Users can drag images outside of a tile to create a temporary placeholder This is helpful when moving images between tiles 2014 05 05 2014 05 05 Apteryx Inc Page 34 of 106 cu

The software will prepare to capture from a digital x ray sensor o File The software will prepare to import images form the local hard drive network or media device attached to the computer o Clipboard The software will prepare to acquire an image stored in the computer s memory via the lt copy gt function o Open Image The software will prepare to acquire an image that is open on the application desktop o Unassociated File The software will be prepared to acquire the image from unassociated files a file not associated with a tile contained in the current layout group oO The layout will display a stacked paper icon i in the bottom right corner of the layout when there are images in the layout not associated with any specific tile o Video Source The software will prepare capture from the Direct Video extension and any attached intra oral camera Auto Import This button automatically imports images from a Windows folder location and places them into the layout tiles Refer to section 6 1 5 Configuring the Auto Import Utility for more information on how to use the auto import utility A Warning If the Auto Import button is used within the layout capture screen the images will automatically be DELETED from their original file location Automatically Import Files From Directory File Specification i e ica Wait 2 seconds X after a file appears to be sure that no more files are being transfer

21. 1 Open an image on the XrayVision desktop 6 3 2 2 Click File gt Auto Export gt Auto Exports 6 3 2 3 The Auto Exports window will appear Click New to add a new auto export definition Apteryx Inc Page 57 of 106 APTERYX XrayVision User Manual custom software 6 3 2 4 Enter a name for the auto export definition being created Please enter the name that will be used to identify this Auto Export 6 3 2 5 Specify a target directory for the images Clicking Create a subdirectory will automatically create a subfolder in the target directory with patient information in the folder name Click Next 6 3 2 6 Filename There are two options on the Filename screen The first option will allow the user to assign a specific filename to any images that are exported out of XrayVision The second option will automatically generate a filename for the images If the user wishes to assign a filename the next screen will allow them to specify if In most situations automatically generating filenames is the preferred method e Specify File Name After specifying the image file name the user will be prompted to select an image file format JPEG files are usually used in this situation due to their compatibility with most image viewing softwares Click Finish when complete Select the image file format that is to be used when the image is saved Image File Format Jpeg Image jpg jpeg
