1. comando del S O a cilindro A ATTENZIONE Prima di utilizzare l apparato controllate la zona di lavoro e rimuovete tutti gli oggetti che possano presentare un pericolo per la sicurezza e o danneggiare l apparato Per prevenire infortuni causati da lame rotanti non mettete mai le mani o i piedi sotto l apparato Per prevenire infortuni da lame scagliate non azionate mai l apparato con lame del cilindro incrinate molto curve mancanti o in condizioni anomale MATAWAY FUNZIONAMENTO OVERSEEDER SEMINAINCROCIATA Perseminare pi rapidamente effettuate due passate sulla stessa area con la camma di alimentazione sementi impostata a met portata Eseguite la prima serie di passate parallele tra di loro sull area come di consueto ma con met portata di sementi RIMOZIONE DELFELTRO Per la rimozione del feltro verificate che la tramoggia non contenga sementi la porta delle sementi si apre ugualmente durante questa operazione Quando possibile eseguite alcune prove su un tappeto erboso simile a quello su cui userete l apparato In tal modo potrete eseguire le messe a punto preliminari prima di recarvi sui green ecc la prova contribuir inoltre ad eliminare il rischio di danneggiare il tappeto erboso a causa di un errata messa a punto La bassa pressione dei pneumatici pu causare la penetrazione irregolare del cilindro Mantenete la giusta pressione dei pneumatici per eliminare

Before operating check area to be worked and remove any object s which may present a safety hazard and or damage the equipment To prevent injury due to rotating blades never place hands or feet beneath the equipment at any time To prevent injury from thrown blades never operate equipment with reel blades that are cracked badly bent missing or in any abnormal condition MATAWAY OPERATION OVERSEEDER CROSSHATCH OVERSEEDING Making two passes over the same area with the feed cam set at half the desired seed flow rate will provide faster fill in Make the first set of passes parallel to each other over the area in the normal manner but at half the seed feed rate DETHATCHING For the de thatching operation make sure there is no seed in the hopper seed gate will still open during use Whenever possible a few test runs should be made on turf similar to where the unit will be used This will allow preliminary adjustments to be made before entering greens etc and help eliminate the possibility of turf damage due to misadjustments Low tire pressure may cause uneven reel penetration Correct tire pressures should be maintained to eliminate this possibility refer to the Tire Pressure section of this manual for recommended tire pressure 1 Startthe engine Compress and hold the operator presence lever Pull back on the reel control lever and push the clutch control forward to engage

Innestate la frizione della trasmissione Verificate il gioco tra la puleggia di rinvio M e l arresto della cinghia N avvitata alla piastra di appoggio il gioco minimo dev essere di 2 mm All occorrenza allentate la bulloneria O dell arresto della cinghia e riposizionatela Serrate la bulloneria IT 17 MANUTENZIONE MATAWAY OVERSEEDER Verificate che il comando frizione riporti un azione positiva sul centro quando disinnestato All occorrenza regolate la lunghezza dell asta Perregolare la lunghezza dell asta ed ottenere un bloccaggio positivo sul centro allentate il controdado sopra il cavallotto con perno di chiusura in fondo alla leva della frizione Togliete la coppiglia A il perno del cavallotto B e le due boccole C sull impugnatura di comando Girate l asta per accorciarla o allungarla come opportuno e rimontatela sull impugnatura usando la coppiglia Controllate di nuovo per accertare che il bloccaggio sul centro funzioni Una volta ottenuto il bloccaggio desiderato completate il montaggio dell impugnatura di comando e serrate il controdado Innestate e disinnestate pi volte la leva di comando della frizione e verificate che i dispositivi di fermo della cinghia funzionino correttamente Le cinghie devono essere saldamente trattenute ma non eccessivamente compresse quando la leva di trasmissione del cilindro disinnestata NOTA Se sono troppo stretti i dispositivi di fermo d

PRESSIONE DEIPNEUMATICI Mantenete i pneumatici alla pressione raccomandata L errato gonfiaggio accorcer la vita dei pneumatici e dar prestazioni insoddisfacenti Pneumatici 4 10 3 50 4 2 tele Pressione pneumatici 165 179 kPa SOSTITUZIONE DELLA CATENA 1 Togliete i carter copricinghia e la cinghia di trasmissione della tramoggia Allentate la ruota dentata di rinvio B della catena di trasmissione Togliete la maglia di connessione C e la catena D Montate la nuova catena con la maglia di connessione Regolate la ruota dentata di rinvio in modo da lasciare un gioco di circa 3 6 mm nella catena controllate il gioco sulla sezione diritta della catena di fronte alla ruota Serrate la bulloneria della ruota dentata di rinvio NOTA assolutamente importante che la tensione della catena sia corretta Una catena tirata crea carichi eccessivi sul cuscinetto Una catena allentata causa un funzionamento rumoroso e pulsazioni con potenziale velocit irregolare della ruota dentata e l usura anomala della catena e della ruota dentata Lubrificate il raccordo sulla ruota dentata di rinvio Rimontate la cinghia di trasmissione della tramoggia e primadi usare l apparato verificate che tutti i carter ed i coperchi siano stati montati A ATTENZIONE A causa del basso volume d aria dei pneumatici facile sovragonfiarli in pochi secondi Per impedire che esplodano controllate la pressione dell aria c

7. Lubricate the fitting on the idler sprocket Reinstall the hopper drive belt and make sure all guards and covers are in place before using the unit GB 11 SERVICE MATAWAY OVERSEEDER REEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION 1 Tilt the unit forward and support the rear of the chassis with jack stands A CAUTION Use adequate jack stands when supporting the unit Failure to do so may result in personal injury Remove the lower belt guard from under the chassis by removing the screw at the front of the guard and swinging the guard down Release the reel clamps E on both sides of the unit by pulling the clamp levers back Lower the left end of the reel and remove the three belts from the pulley at the right end Remove the reel If the blades need to be replaced refer to the section on reel blade replacement 5 Reinstall the reel in the reverse order of removal A CAUTION When reinstalling the reel make sure the reel clamps lock over center Failure to do so may allow the reel to work loose causing injury to the operator and or bystanders GB 12 OVERSEEDER MATAWAY SERVICE REEL BLADE REPLACEMENT NOTE Note how the blades and spacers are arranged on the reel and the direction of the blades before disassembly so that it can be reassembled in the same manner On the end of the shaft opposite the pulley loosen the set screw in the locking collar on the reel shaf
8. and reinstall the sparkplug Lubricate all lubrication fittings Apply a light coat of oil to the blades and reel shaft to prevent rust Lubricate drive chain with Lubriplate 13563 or equivalent NOTE Do not store unit with blades in the down position Be sure all belts are free from tension the clutch control lever in the disengaged position To put the equipment into service after an extended period of storage GB 24 Move unit to a level well ventilated area Check unit for loose hardware and broken parts Tighten and replace as necessary Check for cracked or split fuel lines Make sure the air cleaner filter is clean Check that the air cleaner components and all shrouds and belt covers are in place Check spark plug and plug wire Note if any blades need replacing Determine if the transmission and engine oil need filling Refill engine oil according to the manufacturers recommendations and refer to the Preventive Maintenance section of this manual for correct oil weight and amount for the transmission Fill the tank with appropriate fuel as recommended by the engine manual A WARNING Do not smoke avoid sparks and open flames when draining or filling the fuel tank Make sure controls are in the disengaged or neutral position Start engine and let run at slow speed until approximate operating temperature has been reached While engine is running and has reached operating

Tighten engine and transmission mounting hardware securely Slide chain idler sprocket against the drive chain until there is 1 8 to 1 4 3 to 6 mm play in the chain opposite the sprocket and secure hardware Using a straight edge align the belt drive pulley on the transmission with the drive pulley on the engine Loosen the set screw on the transmission pulley and slide it in or out to achieve proper alignment Align the mounting plate L so that it is perpendicular to the chassis and the pillow block bearing is centered on the coupler shaft Tighten the two plate mounting screws H at the bottom of the plate Align the pillow block bearing with the coupler shaft so that there is no vertical or side load on the shaft and tighten the pillow block mounting hardware Torque the pillow block screws to 25 ft Ibs 34 N m Tighten locking collar K on engine coupler shaft Rotate collar counterclockwise on pillow block shoulder Using hammer and punch lock collar into position Tighten set screw in collar K Engage reel drive clutch Check the clearance from the idler pulley M to the belt stop N bolted to the mounting plate clearance should be a minimum of 1 16 2 mm If necessary loosen the belt stop hardware O and reposition it Tighten hardware GB 17 SERVICE MATAWAY OVERSEEDER Check clutch control for positive over center action in disengaged position Adjust rod length if necessary
12. allentate i due controdadi B in cima al cavo Regolate il dado inferiore per eliminare l imbando del cavo Fate attenzione a non serrare troppo il cavo diversamente il gancio potrebbe non trattenere il gruppo di rinvio del cilindro Bloccate il dado inferiore agendo sul dado superiore IT 19 MANUTENZIONE MATAWAY OVERSEEDER REGOLAZIONE DELLARUOTA DENTATA DELLA PULEGGIA DITRASMISSIONE DELLA Togliete i carter copricinghia alzate ed abbassate il cilindro agendo sulla leva di sollevamento del cilindro e verificate che la ruota dentata C all interno della puleggia di trasmissione della tramoggia s innesti correttamente nella catena di trasmissione D 1 Selaruota dentata C della puleggia non si allinea con la catena D potete allentare la vite a pressione presente nella ruota dentata E sulla trasmissione e spostare in dentro o in fuori la ruota dentata sul relativo albero al fine di allineare la catena con la ruota dentata della puleggia Nel caso la ruota dentata della puleggia sia allineata con la catena ma non si innesti completamente nella catena alzate il cilindro e verificate che la tensione della catena abbia un gioco di 3 6 mm Se la tensione della catena corretta abbassate il cilindro ed allentate il dado G sull asta di regolazione H della puleggia della tramoggia finch la ruota dentata C non s innesta completamente nella catena Per accertarvi che la ruota dentata della p
13. bulloneria rimanente Prendete nota del lato d immissione e del lato di emissione per rimontarli correttamente Picchiettate le linguette della scatola con un martello morbido per interrompere la tenuta e staccate le met E ed F Togliete l albero d ingresso A l albero di uscita B e il distanziale C Rimuovete anche i cuscinetti D e le guarnizioni paragrasso Montate i nuovi cuscinetti nelle semiscatole NON montate le nuove guarnizioni paragrasso a questo punto ALBERO D INGRESSO 7 Rimuovete il doppio ingranaggio grande E l ingranaggio piccolo la chiave G e il distanziale dall albero d ingresso J Controllate l usuradell albero d ingresso ed all occorrenza sostituitelo se occorre sostituire l albero montate l anello seeger K attuale sull albero nuovo Se NON occorre sostituire l albero se necessario eliminate le sbavature dalle scanalature e o dalle estremit dell albero Rimontate le boccole nel doppio ingranaggio grande E all occorrenza sostituite l ingranaggio In sede di sostituzione delle boccole accertatevi che esse siano a paro con il bordo dell ingranaggio e che i fori dell olio sull ingranaggio siano allineati Montate il distanziale H sull albero contro l anello seeger K Montate il doppio ingranaggio grande E e mettete il lato dell ingranaggio piccolo contro il distanziale Montate la chiave G nella scanalatura e sull albero montate l ingranaggio piccolo F lato piatto contro l

15. ends if necessary Replace bushings on large double gear M or replace gear if necessary When replacing bushings keep the bushings flush with the edge of the gear Be sure oil holes on gear are aligned Install key N and large single gear L onto shaft P be sure the deep step side of gear is toward snap ring O Slide the large double gear M onto shaft with the small gear toward the large single gear Install spacer onto output shaft Clean the old gasket material from the case halves Install the input and output shafts into the gear case half making sure the spacer on the output shaft remains in place With shafts in gear case half turn either shaft to make sure gears are turning This will ensure the keys are properly set Apply Loctite 515 sealant or equivalent to case halves Make sure the spacer bushings are in qtu the center top and bottom holes of the case half Position transmission onto the mounting bracket with the drain plug facing to the outside of unit Reinstall the six screws removed during disassembly Secure all six screws and torque to 16 2 ft Ibs 21 5 N m Apply 30w oil onto the lips of the new grease seals Install the seals drive pulley and sprocket With the gear case resting level on the mounting bracket fill transmission with EP90w oil until the oil reaches the bottom of the threads in the plug hole Install plug use a teflon based

MENT 1 Loosen the hardware securing the hook A Slide the hook in the slot so that it captures the reel idler assembly when the clutch control is disengaged When only the drive clutch is engaged the hook should hold the reel idler assembly back far enough that the reel belts will not engage Retighten the hook mounting hardware After the hook has been adjusted Loosen the two jam nuts B at the top of the cable Adjust the bottom nut to take up any slack in the cable Be careful not to overtighten the cable or the hook may not hold the reel idler assembly Use the top nut to lock the lower nut into place GB 19 SERVICE HOPPER DRIVE PULLEY SPROCKET ADJUSTMENT With the belt covers removed raise and lower the reel using the Reel Lift Lever and check to make sure the sprocket C on the inside of the hopper drive pulley properly engages the drive chain D from the transmission 1 Ifthe pulley sprocket C does not align with the chain D the set screw in the drive sprocket E on the transmission can be loosened and the sprocket moved in or out on its shaft to align the chain with the pulley sprocket If the pulley sprocket is aligned with the chain but does not engage the chain fully raise the reel and check the chain tension for the proper 1 8 to 1 4 3 to 6mm play If the chain tension is correct lower the reel and loosen the nut G on the hopper pulley adjustment rod H until the sprocket C fully eng

72. ull estremit dell albero dal lato opposto alla puleggia allentate la vite a pressione nella ghiera di bloccaggio A sull albero del cilindro Inserite un punzone nel forellino della ghiera e con un martello picchiettate la ghiera in senso orario fino ad allentarla circa 1 4 di giro Togliete la ghiera il supporto diritto ed il cuscinetto B Allentate la vite a esagono incassato C nel dado del cilindro D e togliete il dado del cilindro dall albero Togliete le lame e i distanziali dall albero Rimontate il cilindro con le lame nuove NOTA Attenzione a rimontare il cilindro iniziando e terminando con un distanziale NON montatelo mettendo una lama accanto al dado dell albero Verificate che la vite a esagono incassato C nel dado del cilindro D sia priva di gioco o serrata a circa 1 5 3 Nm Avvitate il dado sull albero del cilindro e serratelo a 108 13 Nm Utilizzate un numero sufficiente di distanziali per impedire che il dado del cilindro tocchi lo spallamento della sezione esagonale dell albero Serrate la vite a esagono incassato a 13 16 Nm Montate sull albero il supporto diritto con il cuscinetto B Infilate il supporto diritto fin quando il suo bordo esterno non si trova a 16 mm dall estremit dell albero Il supporto diritto B deve essere perpendicolare all albero Verificate mettendo un righello G contro la prima lama H ed attraverso il bordo del supporto diritto Con la mano girate il supporto diritto Se
