AN is booted up press menu button on the control Scroll to turn sounds off by using the up and down arrow buttons Then press ntepto turn sounds off PLEASE REMEMBER THAT IF THE E PAN IS TURNED OFF OR REBOOTED IT AUTOMATI CALLY DEFAULTS TO THE E PAN S BUILT IN SOUNDS ON By following these steps you would have successfully turned off the E PAN s built in sounds and it is safe to plug in your MIDI cord from your outside sound source to the E PAN The E PAN can now be used as a controller You can use the E PAN control panel to scroll from tone to tone octave to octave etc when the E PAN is hooked up to an outside sound source After following the above three steps you have successfully shut off the E PAN s built in sounds and the display will now read turn sounds on This happens automatically If you are read ing turn sounds on on the display screen this means that the sounds are presently off In order for the user to utilize the E PAN s built in sounds once again select the menu button and then use the up and down arrows on the control panel to scroll to turn sounds on You must press enter to turn sounds on Once the E PAN is powered off shut down it automatically defaults to the E PAN s built in sounds on NAPE Inc 2009 Page 18 NAPE110930M Getting to know your E Pan VOLUME The volume control on this unit is to control the speakers and the headset on the E
