DR 01 uses two IC memories for extended radio recording Because of this the sound is interrupted momen tarily forabout 0 5 seconds when switch ing from one IC memory to the other one The IC memories switch when the re maining time display reaches 7 00 7 minutes El Press them NSE key to stop recording ing over the micropho Tum the power off E Press the REC key for at least 7 second to Start recording s When the key is pressed and REC lights on the display talk into the microphone from a distance of about 10 cm 4 During recording the recordable time remaining time and index number are shown on the display E Press them NSB key to stop recording Indexes and recording time When the REC key is pressed and recording starts the index is written automatically and the index number appears on the display The index number increases by one each time the recording operation is performed Amaximum of 19 recordings of radio broad casts up to index number 79 and 10 record ings over the microphone up to index num ber 10 can be made The ODR 01 processes the recording times of each index in units of 30 seconds for recordings of radio broadcasts and in units of 6 seconds for recordings made using the microphone If for exampie the remaining ume is 5 minutes 50 seconds when the recording of a radio broadcast is stopped the recordable time remaining time for the next recording
