Changing menu options 1 17 Reducing the VCR s power consumption You can turn off the indicators in the display window when the VCR is off standby mode to reduce the VCR s power consumption 1 Press MENU then press 4 highlight USER SET and press OK 3 Press to set to ON then press OK The power consumption is reduced to a minimum 2 Press 4 8 to highlight POWER SAVE TAPE SELECT COLOUR SYSTEM FORMAT 16 9 NICAM POWER SAVE SMART TRILOGIC SET EXIT To turn on the indicators in the display window Set POWER SAVE to OFF in step 3 Notes When the VCR stands by for recording the indicator in the display window remain lit even when POWER SAVE is set to ON The Line Through function will not operate properly if POWER SAVE is set to ON Set POWER SAVE to OFF to ensure proper operation Reducing the VCR s power consumption Menu option Set this option to NICAM ON to record NICAM broadcasts on the hi fi audio track OFF to record standard sound on the hi fi audio track For details see page 63 POWER SAVE ON to turn off the indicators in the display window to conserve the VCR s power OFF to turn on the indicators in the display window while the VCR 1s standing by SMART TRILOGIC ON to automatically adjust the sharpness ofthe picture OFF to manually adjust the sharpness of the picture EASY OPER
