3. 9020 590 5005 5S1 015 C03 520 1023 3 of 8 ISSUED 01 17 06 SHEET 202 9091 1 Installation to Single Wood Stud Wall e Make sure that the wall will safely support the combined load of the equipment and all attached hardware and components Use a stud finder to locate the edges of the stud Use of an edge to edge stud finder is highly recommended Based on its edges draw a vertical line down the stud s center Place tilt assembly B on wall as a template making sure that the two mounting holes are over the stud centerline Level tilt assembly and mark the center of the two holes Drill two 5 32 4 mm dia holes 2 1 2 65 mm deep Make sure that the tilt assembly is level secure it using two 14 x 2 1 2 wood screws G as shown Skip to step 2 on page 6 Tighten wood screws so that tilt assembly is firmly attached but do not overtighten Overtightening can damage the screws greatly reducing their holding power Never tighten in excess of 80 in lb 9 N M Make sure that mounting screws are anchored into the center of the stud The use of an edge to edge stud finder is highly recommended Hardware provided is for attachment of mount through standard thickness drywall or plaster into wood studs Installers are responsible to provide hardware for other types of mounting situations 4of8 ISSUED 01 17 06 SHEET 202 9091 1 Installation to Solid Concrete or Cind

6. er Block A WARNING e When installing Westinghouse wall mounts on cinder block verify that you have a minimum of 1 3 8 of actual con crete thickness in the hole to be used for the concrete anchors Do not drill into mortar joints Be sure to mount ina solid part of the block generally 1 minimum from the side of the block Cinder block must meet ASTM C 90 specifica tions It is suggested that a standard electric drill on slow setting is used to drill the hole instead of a hammer drill to avoid breaking out the back of the hole when entering a void or cavity e Concrete must be 2000 psi density minimum Lighter density concrete may not hold concrete anchor e Make sure that the wall will safely support the combined load of the equipment and all attached hardware and components concrete template to mark two mounting holes Drill two 1 4 6 mm dia holes to a minimum depth of 2 1 2 Make sure that tilt assembly B is level use itas a surface 64 mm Insert anchors C in holes flush with wall Ewe as shown right Place tilt assembly over anchors and secure with two 14 x 2 1 2 screws G Level C then tighten all fasteners A WARNING Tighten screws so that wall plate is firmly attached but do not overtighten Overtightening can damage screws greatly reducing their holding power Never tighten in excess of 80 in Ib 9 N M A WARNING e Always attach concr

8. g spacers F as indicated below For screens with a hole pattern in a pocket spacers F go between adapter plate A and screen 6 of 8 ISSUED 01 17 06 SHEET 202 9091 1 Installing and Removing Flat Panel Screen Attach screen to tilt assembly B Tighten M5 x 6 mm screw H to lock screen to tilt assemby Note For security models use security driver I to tighten M5 x 6 mm screws H To remove screen from mount loosen screw H and lift screen off of mount A WARNING e Do not lift more weight than you can handle Use additional man power or mechanical lifting equipment to safely handle placement of the screen e Failure to lock adapter plate A with screw H can cause screen to come off mount if hit accidentally CAUTION e Do not tighten screws with excessive force Overtightening can cause damage to mount Tighten screws to 20 in lb 2 26 N M maximum torque Adjusting the Tilt Angle of the Flat Panel Screen Adjust tension knob on right side of mount shown in figure 4 to desired tension to balance your screen size and weight Note If knob is inaccessible remove screen from mount adjust tension knob to desired tension to balance your screen size and weight and reattach screen to mount as stated in step 3 Push or pull from top or bottom of screen to adjust tilt as shown in figure 4 The tilt can be adjusted to a maximum of 15 forward or 5
