1. While cleaning make sure that he pipe work and other components do not get broken or damaged eee Door Seals Grease or oil should never be used on door seals as these will cause them to deteriorate and become porous over time The door seals should be cleaned regularly with clean warm water and wiped dry with a soft cloth After Cleaning Replace all the shelves and accessories in the refrigerator chamber Place food back in the refrig erator chamber close the appliance door and con nect the power supply Switch the refrigerator ON by pressing the Jbutton 1 Replacing The Light Bulb Switch off the refrigerator by pressing the OFF O button 2 Disconnect the power supply Using a philip s head screw driver unscrew the bulb cover See Fig 12 Replace the bulb with a new one max 10W 12V halogen base G4 and replace the bulb cover Re connect the power sup ply Restart the refrigerator by pressing the ON button 1 13 E a TROUBLE SHOOTING The following are a list of minor faults with instructions on how to rectify these should be checked by the user The appliance does not work No power to the unit make sure the plug is properly inserted into the socket make sure there is electricity in the socket by plugging in another electric device such as a night lamp make sure the power supply cord is not damaged The compressor hardly ever make sure the ambient tem

Once in place ensure that the refrigerator is not standing on the power supply cord CHANGING DOOR HINGES It is possible to change the door hinges from right hinged to left hinged or vice versa The refrigerator must be switched off unplugged from the wall socket and emptied completely Remove the two screws in the hinge top on the right hand side of the cabinet A Lift the refrigerator door slightly and take the door and upper hinge off by pulling the door towards you Remove the dummy hinge from the opposite side by unscrewing the two screws B Reverse the dummy hinge and refit it on the opposite side of the cabinet using two screws Tilt the refrigerator to an angle of maximum 45 and unscrew the bottom hinge This is done by removing the two screws holding the bottom hinge on the cabinet underside C Remove the bottom dummy hinge in the oppo site side in the same way as the upper dummy hinge was removed D Reverse the dummy hinge and refit it on the opposite side of the cabinet Reverse the upper right hand hinge and refit it in the lower left hand corner of the cabinet Place the cabinet in the vertical position again Dismount he door handle by removing the screws E Reverse the lower right hand hinge and refit it on the top part of the door in the left side of the cab inet Push the door into position and slide the upper hinge into the upper left hand hinge cas ing Tighten the

6. to raise the temperature and press the W button 7 to lower the temperat ure Quick Cooling This function is recommended when loading the refrigerator with a large quantity of food The com pressor runs continuously until the refrigerator com partment s temperature drops down to 1 C after which the super cooling function is automatically disabled and the normal compressor run cycle resumes to restore the latest set temperature Press the CL 11 and the cooL 4 buttons to activate the function SC will appear on the display The blue light 8 will come on when function is activated It is still possible to view the refrigerator compart ment current temperature by pressing the 4 button 6 or the W button 7 To disable the quick cooking function manually Press the cL 11 and Coot 4 buttons together again The blue light 8 will switch of when the function is de activated Cooling Fan This function allows maintaining the same tempera ture on all levels of the refrigerator chamber It is switched ON and OFF by pressing the button 10 The yellow light 9 is turned on when the function is activated When the cooling fan is not switched on the natu ral circulation of air within the refrigerator chamber will cause different temperature zones This caused by the cold air sinking to the lowest section of the chamber This should be kept

11. es in the refrigerator chamber Coldest Area The coldest area is directly above the vegetable drawers Use this area for all delicate and highly perishable food e g Fish meat poultry Sausage products ready meals dishes or baked goods containing eggs or cream fresh dough cake mixtures pre packed vegetable and other fresh food with a label stating it should be kept at a temperature of approx 4 C Warmest Area The warmest area is in the top section of the door Use this for storing butter and cheese Food Not To Be Stored In A Refrigerator Not all food is suitable for storing in the refrigerator These include Fruit and vegetables which are sensitive to cold such as bananas avocado papaya passion fruit aubergines peppers tomatoes and cucumbers Fruit which are not yet ripe Potatoes Some hard cheeses e g Parmesan Storing Food Correctly Store food covered or packaged This will prevent Food smells or tastes from affecting other foods Food from drying out Any cross contamination of bacteria The growth of bacteria such as salmonella can be avoided by setting the correct temperature and maintaining good standards of hygiene Fruit amp Vegetables Fruit and vegetables can be stored loose in the veg etable drawers However you should bear in mind that some types of vegetables release a natural gas e g apples apricots pears nectarines peaches plums
12. he cooling system is damaged In the event of any damage disconnect the mains supply to the appliance avoid anything which creates a spark air the room in which the appliance is located for several minutes to ensure there is no gas build up there should be at least 1m of room space for every 8g of coolant contact a qualified technician as soon as possible The use of this environmentally friendly coolant has led to a slight increase in noise level In addition to the noise of the compressor the coolant flowing around the system may be heard This is unavoidable but does not affect the performance to the appliance This refrigerator must be properly installed in accordance with the Installation Instructions before it is used Do not allow children to climb stand or hang on the shelves in the refrigerator They could seriously injure themselves and damage the refrigerator Once in operation do not touch the cold surface in the refrigerator compartment particularly when hands are damp or wet Skin may adhere to these extremely cold surfaces Do not use a steam cleaner machine to clean the appliance pressurised steam could reach the electrical components and cause a short circuit Do not store or use gasoline or other flammable vapours and liquids in the vicinity of this appliance Unplug the appliance before cleaning and making repairs Note We strongly recommend that any servicing be performed by a qualified technic
