14. rom a Sony Betamax videocassette recorder or other VTR equipped with an rf output terminal CONNECTION VHF antenna UHF antenna TV Connect a suitable VHF and UHF or combination antenna to the recorder Connect the rf output of the recorder to the VHF antenna terminal of the TV and the UHF OUT terminals of the recorder to the UHF terminals of the TV For details refer to the instructions furnished with the recorder OPERATION Adjusting the recorder Set the rf unit channel selector to channel 3 or 4 whichever channel is not active in your area Set the recorder to the playback mode If you do not have a pre recorded tape set the TV VTR selector to VTR and select an active channel with its channel select button on the recorder The signal from the recorder will be fed to the TV Adjusting the TV Select VHF channel 3 or 4 the operation channel of the rf unit built into the recorder by pressing the 0 number button and 3 or 4 number button on the Remote Commander or pressing the CHANNEL or button The playback picture will then appear Operating note If the inactive 3 or 4 channel has been erased as described before the playback picture cannot be selected with the CHANNEL or button However the desired channel selection can again be made as usual with the channel
