2. the slot 4 Press the cartridge down until it snaps into place gt Removing Cartridges Warning When you remove a cartridge to install another informa tion that you entered into the removed cartridge will be erased Selecting Books Once you have installed a cartridge in your BOOKMAN you must select which book you want to use 1 Turn BOOKMAN on 2 Press caro These are sample books 3 Press or 5 to highlight the book you want to use oo EN 4 Press to select it STICK SYMEBOLS STMBOLS gt About Screen Illustrations Some screen illustrations in this User s Guide may differ from what you see on the actual screen This does not mean that your BOOK MAN is malfunctioning Changing Settings You can adjust both the font and the screen contrast The font changes the number of lines of text that appear on screen The screen contrast determines how dark the screen appears 1 Press cir 2 Press C twice to highlight the Other menu 3 Press or J to highlight Select Font or Set Contrast Press ETR Highlight a setting Or press 4 or JL if you selected Set Contrast To exit without changing settings press ack 6 Press to select the setting 7 Press when done ul Viewing a Demonstration This product comes equipped with a brief demonstration which shows the features of this product and how to use them 1 Press t

From within a stock entry you can hold and press W to go to the next stock entry or hold and press to go to the previous one Searching by the Stock Name You can also search by the stock s name 1 Press cman 2 3 Highlight the Name menu Type the letters of the desired stock name until it is highlighted e g Franklin Electronic Pub Inc To erase letters press ack Press ENTER Press 4 or 11 to read Press when done gt Another Way to Search You can also search for stock names by typing the first few letters of the stock name then press JL to move down until the product you want is highlighted gt Viewing Full Menu Items Some menu items are followed by ellipses because they are too long to fit on one line Press G to view the full menu item Cartridge Care Do not touch the metal contacts on the cartridges Caution Touching these electrical contacts with statically charged objects including your fingers could erase information entered in a cartridge or built in book Do not put excessive pressure on the cartridges Do not expose the cartridges to heat cold or liquids Resetting BOOKMAN If the BOOKMAN keyboard fails to re spond or if its screen performs errati cally first press and then press twice If nothing happens follow the steps below to reset it Warning Pressing the reset b
