1. A WARNING Turn off fireplace and let cool before cleaning A CAUTION You must keep control areas burners and circulating air pas sageways of fireplace clean Inspect these areas of fireplace before each use Have fireplace inspected yearly by a qualified service person Fireplace may need more frequent cleaning due to excessive lint from carpeting bedding material etc ODS PILOT AND BURNERS Use a vacuum cleaner or small soft bristled brush to clean LOGS If you remove logs for cleaning refer to Installing Logs pages 20 and 21 to properly replace logs Replace log s if broken or chipped dime sized or larger A WARNING Turn off fireplace and let cool before servicing Only a qualified service person should service and repair fireplace A CAUTION Never use a wire needle or similar object to clean ODS pilot This can damage ODS pilot unit OBSERVED PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE REMEDY When ignitor button 1 is pressed there is no spark at ODS pilot 2 do tA Ignitor electrode not con nected to ignitor cable Piezo ignitor nut is loose Ignitor cable pinched or wet Broken ignitor cable Bad piezo ignitor Ignitor electrode broken Ignitor electrode posi tioned wrong Reconnect ignitor cable 2 Tighten nut holding piezo ignitor to base panel of log set Nut is located behind base panel 3 Free ignit
