3.  set the auto ON minutes    6  Press the FLOW SET button to get into the auto OFF setting mode  Set the time  the same as the auto ON    7  PRESS the FLOW  SET button and the minutes will appear     oe    How to Activate the Auto ON OFF    1  Press and hold for two seconds the FUNCTION button until the double arrow  appears    2  Press again the FUNCTION button and the display will show Auto to indicate that  the Auto Function is activated     The humidifier will switch on and off at the pre set time  To switch the humidifier off  during the auto on off period press and hold the CANCEL button until the humidifier  switches off     NOTE  If the Auto sign only blinks several times the times will not set correctly  Please  repeat the Auto ON OFF procedure     HOW TO OPERATE ALARM MODE    The humidifier can be used as an alarm clock  To set the alarm clock the humidifier  must be in the OFF mode  The alarm clock can be used in the ON or OFF mode     How to Set Alarm    8  Press and hold FLOW SET button until the first two numbers blink in the display    9  In case the clock was not set  see How to Set Clock  please set clock now before  continuing with Alarm    10  If clock was set  press FLOW button several times  pressing through other  functions  until the Auto and the Clock symbol appear in the LCD display  At this  point the first two numbers on the left will blink    11 Press the FUNCTION button to set the hour    12 Press the FLOW SET button and the minutes will blink  Pre

Replacement LR1130 1 5V batteries can be purchased at any local drugstore     1  Press the battery compartment tab and lift the compartment lid  Remove the  three LR1130 1 5V batteries   2  Insert three LR1130 1 5V batteries into the battery compartment  Please  observe the correct     battery polarity  The   polarity must point upwards    3  Properly replace the battery compartment lid     HOW TO SET CLOCK    As soon as the humidifier is connected to the power source the LCD display on the clock  will illuminate blue     Press the button FLOW  SET and hold until the first two numbers will blink    Press the FUNCTION button to adjust the correct hour    Press the FLOW SET button again and the last two numbers will blink    Press the FUNCTION button to adjust the correct minutes    Press the FLOW SET several times until the correct clock time appears on display   NOTE  You will need to press through other functions until the clock time you  set appears     Ul BR WN Fe    HOW TO OPERATE THE HUMIDIFIER FEATURES  AUTO OFF SAFETY FEATURE    As soon as the water in the water tank runs low the humidifier will automatically switch  OFF  The set LCD Clock will remain on     Setting HI LO Output    1  As soon as the humidifier is switched ON it will operate on the HI output  5 bars  will on the right hand side of the display    2  Press the FLOW  SET to reduce output  The bars will disappear on right side of  the display    3  The output will be reduced and less mist will be emitted in

Tank  with attached water tank cap   d  AC Power Adapter    If any of the above items are missing  please contact our service department at 1 888   599 0992  http   www crane usa com  for replacement  Business hours Mon Fri 9 00am    4 00pm CT    OPERATION AND USE    BEFORE EACH USE    CHECK HUMIDIFIER PLACEMENT   Place the Humidifier on elevated  waterproof  level  surface for best performance  This is to help disperse the mist in the air  and prevent it  from being knocked over or cause moisture damage to surface     DO NOT place Humidifier on top of a towel  or a carpeted surface  The air vent  on the bottom may become blocked  and overheat the humidifier     CHECK FAN VENT   This fan vent is located on the bottom of the humidifier  The  purpose of the Fan Vent is to blow the cool mist through the nozzle  It is important that  this part is kept free of obstructions  We recommend checking the fan vent before using  this item  i e  lint  paper     DO NOT operate the humidifier without water in the water tank   DO NOT plug in the cord with wet hands  electric shock could happen    ASSEMBLY AND QUICK START INSTRUCTIONS    1  Locate battery compartment underneath humidifier   Remove the plastic protective strip from batteries    2  Lift the water tank off the base  Turn over the water  tank and unscrew the water tank cap at the bottom of  the tank by turning it counterclockwise   See Fig  1     3  Fill water tank with cold water  do not fill all the way to  the rim  Note  To av
9. and switched OFF  before cleaning or attempting to store the item  NEVER PLUG OR UNPLUG UNIT  WITH WET HANDS     DO NOT leave water in water tank or water basin when unit is not in use as it  may result in the buildup of mineral deposits and bacteria that can inhibit the  output efficiency of the humidifier     PLEASE NOTE that if water remains in the water tank for more than a day or  two  bacterial growth ts possible     ALWAYS use fresh cool water when using unit     NOTE  When removing water tank  water may accumulate under nozzle and on the  bottom of the water tank  It is recommended to have a dry cloth ready to dry wet  Surfaces     DAILY MAINTENANCE    Always turn off and unplug humidifier from outlet before cleaning   Empty water from the water tank and water basin daily    Wipe and dry water basin with a clean  dry cloth or paper towel  Replace the water tank  You are now ready to use your humidifier     KR WN eB    WEEKLY MAINTENANCE    1  Always turn off and unplug from outlet before cleaning    2  Remove the tank from the base and empty the water from both the tank and the  water basin     3  Fill the water tank with   2 warm water  Add 1 Tablespoons of white vinegar   Shake vigorously and allow to sit for 20 minutes  Shake vigorously again and  empty the water  Rinse water tank a few times to get rid of the vinegar smell    4  Make same white vinegar water solution  Pour into water basin  Let sit for 20  minutes then empty  Rinse with only water a few times to r

13. ious personal injury  The warnings   e cautions  and instruction discussed in this instruction manual cannot cover all possible  1 PE conditions and situations that may occur  It must be understood by the operator that  common sense and caution are a factor which cannot be built into this product  but must  be supplied by the operator           THIS HUMIDIFIER IS NOT A TOY     Do not let your child play with this appliance  Serious injury and  electrocution might be possible  This appliance has to be operated by an adult only   Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the humidifier     SAVE ALL INSTRUCTIONS     CAUTION  A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risk of personal injury  resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord  Extension cords are  available from local hardware stores and may be used if care is exercised in their use  If  an extension cord is required  special care and caution is necessary  Also the cord must  be   1  marked with an electrical rating of 125 V and at least 13 A   1625 W   and  2   the cord must be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop  where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over accidentally     ELECTRIC POWER   If electric circuit is overloaded with other appliances  your appliances may not operate  properly  The appliances should be operated on a separate electrical circuit from other  operating appliances     POLARIZED PLUG   This appliance
14. oid possible white dust due to hard  water it is recommended to use distilled water     DO NOT use hot water  Use cool tap water   DO NOT add any medication to other additives to the water    4  Replace water tank cap securely on water tank  Place  full water tank on the base  making sure it fits perfectly    see Fig  2        Fig  2    5  Connect the adapter cord into the 18V DC opening on the back of the humidifier  base  Connect the power adapter to a 120V outlet    6  Press CANCEL  on off  button on the front of the central body to turn ON  The LCD  display will illuminate and the mist will begin to emit  The nozzle can be directed  360   by turning spout    7  Press CANCEL again to turn OFF     NOTE  See below to SET CLOCK and other Humidifier  Functions     LCD DISPLAY SUPPORT BATTERIES    The support batteries will save the clock and time  Once the unit is disconnected from  the main power source the LCD display will go off but the batteries will allow the clock to  keep operating    Please Note     e The humidifier can be operated without support batteries    e The humidifier cannot be operated only on the support batteries    e The humidifier comes with support batteries in the humidifier battery  compartment  The support battery is protected by a plastic strip  The plastic  strip must be removed to activate the batteries    e The battery compartment for the support batteries is located at the bottom base  of the humidifiers     TO REPLACE SUPPORT BATTERIES    NOTE  
15. ss the FUNCTION  button to set the minutes    13 PRESS the FLOW SET button until set time appears     How to Activate and Deactivate the Alarm    3  To activate alarm press and hold the CANCEL and FUNCTION buttons two  seconds  The clock icon will appear in the display    4  To deactivate alarm press and hold the CANCEL and FUNCTION buttons two  seconds  The clock icon will disappear in the display     At the set time the alarm will sound for 2 minutes  pause for 30 seconds  and then  sound again for an additional 2 minutes  The alarm will automatically stop once after  second alarm sound     Press any button to manually stop alarm while it is sounding     A NOTE ABOUT HUMIDITY      Itis best to keep the humidity level at about 30 50 percent of relative humidity      The comfort level of humidity will vary from room to room and with changing room  conditions      In cold weather  windows and even some walls may fog or develop frost from  excessive indoor humidity  If this occurs  reduce the mist intensity setting to avoid  damage from condensed water dripping on windowsills      Too much humidity in the room may allow moisture to accumulate on surfaces where  bacteria and fungi can grow  Moisture that gathers may also damage furniture and  walls  especially wallpaper      To eliminate excessive humidity  especially in small rooms  leave the room door open  and adjust the mist intensity control setting     MAINTENANCE    CAUTION  Always be sure that the appliance is unplugged 
16. to the air    4  To increase the output press the FLOW button again     6    Operate LED Nightlight    Press the FUNCTION button to activate the LED nightlight ON OFF   NOTE  The LED nightlight will also work when the mist is switched OFF     HOW TO OPERATE CYCLE FUNCTION    The cycle function allows you to set the humidifier to cycle ON and OFF  For Example   The humidifier is set to switch ON for one hour  After one hour the humidifier will switch  OFF for three hours and then will switch ON again for one hour  The cycle will go on and  off until the water in the water tank runs low and the humidifier safety feature turns off  humidifier automatically  The humidifier will cycle a maximum of 12 hours     How to Set Cycle Function    1  Press and hold the FLOW  SET button until the first two numbers blink    2  In case the clock was not set  see Setting Clock  please set clock now before  continuing with cycle function    3  If clock was set press FLOW button until the double arrow appear in the LCD   display  At this point the first two numbers will blink    Press the FUNCTION button to set the cycle ON hour    Press the FLOW  SET button and the minutes will blink    Press the FUNCTION button to set the cycle ON minutes    Press the FLOW  SET button to get into the cycle OFF setting mode  Set the time   the same as the cycle ON  NOTE  You are setting the number of hours that you   want the humidifier to cycle on and off    8  Press the FUNCTION button to set the cycle OFF ho
17. ur    9  Press the FLOW SET button and the minutes will blink    10  Press the FUNCTION button to set the cycle OFF minutes    11 Press the FLOW SET button to get back to the normal LCD clock display     oye    How to Activate the Cycle ON OFF    1  Press and hold for two seconds the FUNCTION button until the double arrow  appears   2  After two seconds the cycle function will start     The humidifier will switch ON and OFF at the pre set time  To switch the humidifier OFF  during the cycle ON OFF period press and hold the CANCEL button until the humidifier  Switches OFF     NOTE  If the double arrows  cycle symbol  blink several times the times was not set  correctly  Please repeat the Cycle ON OFF procedure     How to Shut Cycle OFF  Press and hold CANCEL button     HOW TO OPERATE THE AUTO ON OFF FUNCTION    The humidifier can be switched ON OFF by a timer function  To set the timer function  the humidifier must be in the OFF mode     How to Set Auto ON OFF    1  Press and hold FLOW  SET button until the first two number blink in the display    2  In case the clock was not set  see How to Set Clock  please set clock now before  continuing with timer    3  If clock was set  press FLOW button several times  pressing through other   functions  until the word Auto appears in the LCD display  At this point the first   two numbers will blink    Press the FUNCTION button to set the auto ON hour    Press the FLOW SET button and the minutes will blink  Press the FUNCTION   button to
