Mode Screen Alarm Data you were last viewing Day Counter Target Date Text screen with data you were last viewing Telememo Memory Number Name screen with data you were last viewing Time Calibration Signal Reception Precautions e This watch is able to receive the time calibration signal transmitted from Mainflingen Germany located 25 kilometers southeast of Frankfurt Signal reception is possible within the area represented by a circle with a radius of about 1 000 kilometers At distances further than about 500 kilometers the signal may become weak and reception may be impossible under certain conditions Even when the watch is within the reception range signal reception is impossible if the signal is blocked by mountains or other geological formations between the watch and signal source Signal reception may be poor in the shaded area on the map even though it is within 1 000 kilometers of the signal transmitter Signal reception is affected by weather atmospheric conditions and seasonal changes The time calibration signal is bounced off the ionosphere Because of this such factors as changes in the reflectivity of the ionosphere as well as movement of the ionosphere to higher altitudes due to seasonal atmospheric changes or the time of day may change the reception range of the signal and make reception temporarily impossible CASIO USER S GUIDE 2367 2739 e This watch is designed to receive the

To recall Telememo records In the Telememo Mode press O to scroll through Telememo records on the display e Only the memory number and name of each Telememo record appear on the display as you scroll through Telememo records e Pressing while the memory number name screen is on the display changes to the telephone number screen for that record e The display can show only five digits of the telephone number at a time so longer numbers scroll continuously from right to left To edit a Telememo record 1 In the Telememo Mode scroll through the records and display the one you want to edit Hold down until the flashing cursor appears on the display Use to move the flashing to the character you want to change Use and to change the character After making the changes that you want press to store them and return to the Telememo record screen oR WP To delete a Telememo record 1 In the Telememo Mode scroll through the records and display the one you want to delete 2 Hold down until the flashing cursor appears on the display 3 Press and at the same time to delete the record e The message CLEAR appears for a few moments and then the cursor appears on the display ready for input 4 Input data or press to return to the Telememo record screen Alarms You can set three independent Daily Alarms When an alarm is turned on the alarm tone sounds when the alarm time is r

City code for details e Time calibration reception is limited to specific geographic areas in West Europe e The current time setting in accordance with the time calibration signal takes priority over any time settings you make e The watch is designed to automatically update the date and day of the week for the period January 1 2000 to December 31 2039 Setting of the date by the time calibration signal cannot be performed starting from January 1 2040 e This watch can receive signals that differentiate between leap years and non leap years USER S GUIDE 2367 2739 e Auto Receive is turned on when the watch is shipped from the factory e See the information under Time Calibration Signal Reception Precautions if you experience problems with time calibration signal reception Auto Summer Time DST Switching The time calibration signal transmitted from Mainflingen Germany includes both standard time and summer time Daylight Saving Time or DST data Because of this the watch automatically switches between standard time and summer time DST automatically whenever BER LON PAR CAI or JRS is selected as the Home City code e Daylight Saving Time DST advances the time setting by one hour from Standard Time Remember that not all countries or even local areas use Daylight Saving Time Auto Summer Time DST Default Settings The following shows the default settings for each of the Home City codes that support auto summ
9. analog time of this watch is synchronized with the digital time The analog time setting is adjusted automatically whenever you change the digital time Note e Whenever you manually change the digital time setting or Home City code or if the time is adjusted by receipt of a time calibration signal the hands of the analog timepiece move clockwise or counter clockwise to adjust to the new setting If the analog time does not match the digital time for any reason use the procedure described under To adjust the analog time to match the analog setting to the digital setting e Whenever you need to adjust both the digital and the analog time settings manually make sure you adjust the digital setting first e Depending on how much the hands have to move in order to adjust to the digital time it may take some time before the analog hands stop moving e The analog time does not change while a signal receipt operation is in progress After the receive operation is complete the analog time is automatically adjusted to match the digital time e If a signal receive operation is performed while the analog time and digital time do not match the digital time will be adjusted correctly but the analog time may not be adjusted If this happens perform the steps below to adjust the analog time To adjust the analog time 1 In the Timekeeping Mode press five times to enter Current time the Hand Setting Mode 2 Hold down until the current digit

11. it means there was some problem with the last calibration reception operation Either perform reception manually or make sure the watch is set up properly to receive the time calibration signal for the next automatic reception time e Even if the calibration reception is successful the Level 4 receiving indicator disappears every day at 3am e When auto receive is turned on the watch receives the calibration signal for four to 11 minutes each day when the digital time reaches 2 00 AM and 4 00 AM Do not operate any of the watch s buttons within 15 minutes prior to or following the calibration times Doing so can interfere with correct calibration e Remember that reception of the calibration signal depends on the time shown on the digital display The receive operation will be performed whenever the digital display shows 2 00 AM and 4 00 AM regardless of whether or not the displayed time is actually the correct time e When two receptions are successful the watch uses the data of the last reception for calibration When only one reception is successful the watch uses the data of the successful reception To turn auto receive on and off 1 In the Timekeeping Mode hold down until the current Auto Receive On Off setting the receiving indicator starts to flash which indicates the setting screen 2 Press O to toggle Auto Receive on ON and off OFF 3 Press to exit the setting screen Analog Timekeeping The

13. signal transmitted from Mainflingen This means that reception is best when the antenna built into the 12 o clock edge of the watch is facing towards Mainflingen Note however that moving the watch while the time calibration signal receive operation is taking place will make stable reception impossible e Think of the watch as acting like a TV or radio when it is receiving the calibration signal When receiving indoors move to a location as near as possible to a window Proper signal reception can be difficult or even impossible under the conditions listed below Near TVs refrigerators computers or other household appliances Far away from broadcasting stations among ferro concrete structures or near mountains Underground in tunnels or in ferro concrete buildings Near high tension wires neon signs or radio stations with interfering frequencies Near railroads highways or airports In trains or cars e Radio interference can make signal reception impossible e Signal reception is normally better at night than during the day e Strong electrostatic charge can result in the wrong time being set e The daily alarm and hourly time signal do not operate during signal reception e If you are in an area where proper time calibration signal reception is impossible the watch keeps time within 15 seconds a month at normal temperature Signal Receive Troubleshooting Check the following points whenever you experience problems with your watch

USER S GUIDE 2367 2739 About This Manual e The operational procedures for Modules 2367 and 2739 are identical All of the illustrations in this manual show Module 2367 e Button operations are indicated using the letters shown in the illustration e Each section of this manual provides you with the information you need to perform operations in each mode Further details and technical information can be found in the Reference section Module 2739 General Guide e Press to change from mode to mode e In any mode press to illuminate the display Timekeeping Mode Timekeeping Use the Timekeeping Mode to set and view the current time and date You can also display the Last Signal screen in the Timekeeping Mode Last Signal Date Time Receiving indicator Receive date Hour Minutes Month Day x Seconds Receive time Day of week PM indicator e The Last Signal screen alternates between the time and date that the time calibration signal was successfully received Current Time Setting Normally you do not need to do anything to set the current time as long as you are within an area in West Europe where the watch can pick up the time calibration signal You can also set the current time manually when you are outside the range of the signal e Before using the watch after purchasing it use the procedure under Selecting Your Home City Code to specify your Home City and then use the

18. cator appears to the left of the hour digits for times in the range of noon to 11 59 p m and the no indicator appears to the left of the hour digits for times in the range of midnight to 11 59 a m e With the 24 hour format times are displayed in the range of 0 00 to 23 59 with 24 indicator Inputting Text The following describes how to input text in the Day Counter and Telememo Modes To input characters 1 When the cursor is on the display use and to Day Counter record cycle through the available letters numbers and setting screen symbols in the sequence shown below Press O gt Press AES Ra T a w Cursor 2 When the character you want is at the cursor position press to move the cursor to the right 3 Repeat steps 1 and 2 to input the rest of the characters you want Sleep Mode While the sleep mode is turned on the watch automatically goes to sleep to save power whenever it is left in a place where lighting is dim less than about 30 lux The following shows how watch functions are affected when left in a dark place while in the sleep mode Approximate Period in Functions Sleep Mode 3 to 4 days e LCD off e Alarm hourly time signal analog timekeeping and auto signal receive enabled e LCD off alarm and hourly time signal disabled e Analog timekeeping stopped at 12 o clock e Auto signal receive disabled 8 days or more To exit the sleep mode
