IROX Wall clock and Personal Meteo Centre with Wireless Thermo Hygrometer Mete On 8 wereorime SECTION 1 Start up of the Mete On 8 lt Upper window with large time Description in Section 2 lt Lower window with Meteotime features and display of in out thermo yhgrometerDescription in Section 3 The Mete On 8 has two batteries in the main unit and two batteries in the remote sensor The two displays in the main unit are driven by independent processors but use the same batteries As soon as you insert the batteries in the main unit both displays will go through their own start up procedure Each display will have its own independent functions and they are described in Section 2 and 3 But first please follow the steps described here l Insert the batteries in the remote sensor follow the indicated polarity of the batteries 2 Place the sensor in a distance of about 1 meter from the main unit 3 Insert the batteries to the main unit follow the indicated polarity of the batteries Once the batteries are installed all the segments in the two LCD will light up Now you can start to set up and operate the functions in each window For this please continue to read in the Sections 2 and 3 Please note Both windows need a good reception of the time signal to work properly The upper window works with DCF77 from Germany only the lower window can take the signal from DCF77 or if this is better r

SET TIME lt gt TIME amp DATE After inserting the batteries the weather station searches for the Radio controlled Time signal as well as the MeteoTime signal After it has successfully received the MeteoTime signal the display shows in the information window Select Country After a few more minutes the information windows the default city FRANKFURTM You are able to press SET to switch from the display of the City to Sunrise amp Sunset time OR Time amp Date for Frankfurt am Main FRANKFURTM 4E 519 1930 SEE 29 265 3 6 SELECT THE COUNTRY AND THE CITIES Press and Hold SET for 3 seconds in the information window COUNTRY is shown and then EER or W to select the country For example If you sce in the information window hy G RR that means you have selected Germany Press SET to confirm the Country Assuming you have selected Germany then the information window will show C LTY Then press A or w to select the city and the city name will be shown in the information window Example FRANKFURTM means the city of Frankfurt am Main Press now SET to accept the setting From now on the selected city will now be shown in the information window 3 7 ACTIVATE FAVOURITES Once you have set your city as described above you may select more cities for easy access Instead of terminating the setting with the key SET you continue as follows e If Frankfurt am Main i
7. eceived the HBG from Switzerland It may therefore happen that the lower window works fine but the upper window has problems to receive Jsut follow then the descriptions given in the sections 2 and 3 N SECTION 2 Radio Controlled Clock upper display 2 1 SETTING THE TIME After inserting new batteries the time will be 0 00 00 The clock will receive the radio signal automatically with the radio reception icon flash When the radio signal is strong all segments of the round radio reception icon will flash otherwise only a part of the icon will flash The time search takes typically between 3 7 minutes in good conditions 2 2 RECEIVING THE RADIO CONTROL SIGNAL The radio controlled wall clock will automatically receive the radio signal 8 times per day Also you can force the clock to receive the radio signal by pressing and holding the WAVE button for 3 seconds It will take 3 7 minutes to receive the radio signal If the radio signal is received the radio reception icon with all wave lines will be visible on the display otherwise it will show without the wave lines WAVE To force the clock to receive the radio control signal During the signal reception if part of the radio reception icons turn on or the reception icon does not appear at all and the time is not set please take note of the following We recommend keeping the minimum distance of 3m from any interfering sources like TV s or computer monitors Within c
8. he Max and Min record TEST V Find the place for the device which has a good reception e Add the city into the list of your desired cities OR Remove the city out of the list of desired Cities Edit your home town in ouT Switch to read Indoor Thermo hygrometer p Outdoor Thermo hygrometer Press and Hold for 3 second to force the main unit to search for the outdoor sensor 3 4 GETTING STARTEO Insert 2 pes AAA batteries for remote sensor and then insert 2 pes AA batteries for the main unit The main unit will automatically scan for the radio controlled clock signal and the Meteotime Weather signal mo TUM WE TH ar erie He Fie Oh STORM fo 240k The time and date will appear in a few minutes Since there is a large amount of Weather information for all regions and days the unit needs about 24 hours from the time of the initial setup to complete the reception of all data After the time and the date signal is being received successfully the display shows SELECT COUNTRY SUCHE SIG and then FRANKFURT as default city in the information window To change the Country and the City please see the information below If the unit is able to receive the Meteotime signal successfully the Meteotime icon amp is appeared in the second row of display Otherwise the Meteotime amp will be Q means it successfully receives today s weather information Otherwise it will be C means
9. it successfully receives tomorrow weather information Otherwise it will be means it successfully receives weather information of one day after Otherwise it will be means it successfully receives weather information of two day after Otherwise it will be O means itis able to receive the Meteotime weather signal Otherwise it will be Q In the event the Meteotime icon change to C that means there are potential sources of interference on the unit The sources of interference may come from the electronics equipment such as TV set computers household machines etc It may also be due to lots of concrete metal parts and electrical equipment in the building It may also be due to your living area if it is very far away from the Radio controlled clock tower You are able to use the TEST function to look for a better location Press TEST button SCAN is shown in the Information Window S tor 30s e Pick the unit to find a good location amp flashing The test is running and the Meteotime signal reception is good You are able to leave the device in this position O flashing The test is running and the Meteotime signal reception is poor You need to keep on looking for a better location The test lasted for around minute You can restart the test with the TEST key at any time and also discontinue the test by press the TEST key 3 5 SWITCH CITY lt gt SUNRISE amp SUN
