10. correct voltage for your geographical area Use the adapter plug provided when appropriate A CAUTION Make sure the voltage selector switch is set correctly on dual voltage systems Figure 2 VOLTAGE SELECTOR Voltage selector switch settings SN umoo Connecting the Lifestyle powered speakers to each other Follow the steps below to connect your Lifestyle powered speakers to each other 1 Connect the speaker wire e The wire marked with the red collar is positive and the ribbed wire is negative These wires correspond respectively to the positive red and negative black terminals on the back of the speakers e As illustrated in Figure 3 connect the positive and negative conductors at one end of the speaker wire to the corresponding positive and negative terminals on the LEFT speaker Connect the other end of the wire to the RIGHT speaker To do so simply push down the tab at the bottom of each terminal insert the bare end of the conductor into the hole and release the tab to secure the wire in place 2 Check your connections e Make sure the wires are connected positive to positive to and negative to negative to Incorrect wiring will affect stereo imaging Also check to make sure that no strands of wire from any terminal are brushing against any other terminal Such bridged wires create short circuits that may damage your Lifestyle powered speaker system Figure 3 Lifestyle
11. e 2 Protocol AM262842_00_V pdf Setting Zone 2 Protocol For the Lifestyle powered speaker system to work properly with a Lifestyle media center you will need to check the Zone 2 Protocol to ensure that it is set to Normal mode 1 While your Lifestyle system is on press the Settings button Figure 12b on your remote control This will open the on screen display Scroll down with the down arrow button and select System Setup using the Enter button You will now see a menu entitled System Setup 1 of 3 Scroll down to more Continue to scroll down through 2 of 3 to 3 of 3 The last item on System Setup 3 of 3 is Zone 2 Protocol If necessary use the right arrow button to set the protocol from Legacy to Normal If you changed the Zone 2 Protocol turn off the system and turn it on again this ensures that the Zone 2 Protocol is reset to Normal mode Settings System Setup 3 of 3 System Setup Zone 2 Protocol Connecting power to your system A CAUTION f you purchased a dual voltage system it is important that you set the speakers to the correct voltage To do this refer to Selecting the correct voltage on page 5 Follow these steps to connect power to your Lifestyle powered speaker system 1 With the volume control on the left speaker turned all the way down counterclockwise plug the power cord from the left speaker into an AC power mains outlet Insert the
