PISTON KIT INSTALLATION INFORMATION NOTE This kit should be installed by an expert or under expert supervision Our piston kit is made of OEM specifications with slight modifications and should be installed following the OEM service manual For oversized pistons be sure to hone the cylinder to the appropriate size to fit the piston with clearance stated on the OEM service manual Otherwise the cylinder may be honed to fit the piston s thickest diameter with 0 05mm 0 002 clearance Arrow on the top of the piston should point towards the exhaust While installing the piston make sure to lubricate with motor oil PISTON RING INFORMATION Silvered colored ring is for the top and the second ring is black These rings both have a T stamped on one side to face the top To install the oil rings first insert the spacer Then insert the side rails on top and under the spacer DO NOT allow the end grooves of the spacer to overlap To install the piston into the cylinder be sure to adjust the angle of each ring gap according to OEM service manual directions Use piston ring pliers when installing piston rings to avoid splitting the piston rings The cast iron piston rings will crack when overly stretched SHINDY PRODUCTS INC 1566 Centre pointe Dr Milpitas CA 95035
