1. Moving the drill stand There is a handle top side 33 fitted to the base so that the complete stand with motor and drill can be moved Accessories The following tools are delivered with the drill pillar socket key SW19 Allen key 6 mm 3 Using the equipment In this chapter the setting up procedure is first of all described Thereafter a number of safety measures are discussed It is important that these are read thoroughly and carefully before one uses the drill stand and the electric drill motor 3 1 Setting up the drill stand The setting up procedure using the impact anchor is as follows Place the impact anchor M12 on the floor and or wall Screw the threaded end of the quick tensioner into the impact anchor Position the base and clamping plate over the thread end and tighten with the quick tensioner Level the base using the four adjusting bolts The setting up procedure using the optional vacuum plate is as follows Position the vacuum plate in the correct position Start the vacuum pump and connect this to the vacuum plate Position the stand onto the vacuum plate and tighten the base using the washer and the nut Ensure that the vacuum plate is tightly secured to the concrete Ensure that the meter on the vacuum pump indicates more than 1 0 Bar and remains showing this during use especially when drilling horizontally Important Before the vacuum pump is positioned one must thoroughly cle

3. an the concrete and remove any unevenness Do not use the vacuum system for drilling into the ceiling In these setting up procedures the use of a stamp pole is optional If possible Position the stamp pole on the top of the rig Clamp the stamp pole to the ceiling and or wall by tightening the bolt Manual DC200 Issued 1 01 09 4 DIAQUIP SALES amp SERVICE 0161 406 0609 3 2 Safety measures ATTENTION When using the equipment the following safety recommendations must be heeded This is to avoid danger to one s personal health and to the surroundings Prevent an electric shock The electromotor may only be used if the power supply system and equipment are fully earthed and connected to the mains electricity via a correctly functioning earth leak circuit breaker If you have doubts ask a qualified electrician to check this Prevent water near the electricity Prevent leaks or drops from the water hose and prevent the water hose becoming detached Remove discharge water safely using for example a water extractor Cables plugs and electricity may not be exposed to water Keep the work area tidy A disorderly work area can cause accidents Do not allow unauthorised persons or animals to come into the work area Possibly demarcate the work area with tape During operation of the tool a safe distance must be kept from the rotating parts After use store the equipment away in a safe and clean condition in a dr
4. bly and do not use the equipment if one does not have one s full concentration Ensure that you are always in a position to quickly switch off the motor Prevent accidental starting of the motor Take the plug out of the wall socket and switch the contact off if the equipment is not in use for example for maintenance or when replacing parts Check that the motor is off before the mains electricity is connected Carefully maintain the tool Keep the tool clean in order to work better and work safely Follow the maintenance instructions carefully Keep the handles dry and free of oil and grease Check the equipment for damage Check that the function of the moving parts is in order that they do not clamp that no parts are broken that all other conditions are in order which could affect the functioning of the equipment Damaged parts must be replaced or repaired by a qualified expert Use of accessories and auxiliary equipment Only use accessories and auxiliary equipment which are mentioned in the catalogue Injury can occur if other accessories and auxiliary equipment are used Extension cable cable Only use an undamaged extension cable which is suitable for outside use and has adequate core diameter Fully wind out a cable from a coil to avoid heat formation Protect all cables against heat oil and sharp objects Repair to electrical tools Electrical tools must meet the relevant safety requirements For that reaso

6. n repairs may only be undertaken by a qualified electrician 4 Maintenance In general it can be stated that regular maintenance checking cleaning and lubricating has a positive effect on the safety and lifetime of the equipment Ensure that the locking pin and the pump pin always function correctly If not they must be replaced immediately Maintenance to the stand Clean and lubricate the toothed rack and the adjusting bolts on a weekly basis Spraying the pillar and sliding strips with teflon spray is recommended This prevents dirt becoming engrained onto the equipment Manual DC200 Issued 1 01 09 6 DIAQUIP SALES amp SERVICE 0161 406 0609 5 Guarantee The core drill stand Profi Midi has a guarantee period of 3 months from the date of delivery The guarantee means that within this period solely material and manufacturing flaws after assessment by Diacom BV will be repaired free of charge This guarantee is void if the stand has been overloaded the stand has been used for purposes for which it was not designed the maintenance has been inadequately carried out the information in the handbook has not been correctly followed the stand has been used by unauthorised persons the stand has been repaired with non original parts 6 Technical specifications In this chapter the technical specifications of the Profi Midi are described Model Profi Midi Maximum drill diameter 200 mm Total heig
7. o the pillar for this purpose For left handed people the lever can also be used on the other side of the through spindle The sliding housing can be tightened onto the pillar using the brake knob 40 Ensure that the brake knob on the sliding housing is always engaged if one does not have to move the sliding housing along the pillar This prevents undesired sinking of the drill In addition this must be engaged if one wants to move the lever to another side of the pillar or one wants to adjust the pillar at an angle Anchorage The drill pillar can be anchored to the floor and or wall using a quick tensioner M12 in combination with a clamping plate If the circumstances allow a quick acting clamp can be used as additional anchorage between the top of the pillar and the ceiling and or wall Besides this method an optional method is to also anchor the drill pillar using a vacuum base plate Manual DC200 Issued 1 01 09 3 DIAQUIP SALES amp SERVICE 0161 406 0609 Setting the pillar in a square position The adjusting bolts in the base plate can be used to position the base level with the floor or wall It suffices if these bolts are hand tight By unscrewing the bolt 27 which is attached at the bottom of the pillar and then unscrewing the bolt 11 and the cross bar 20 from the rear support it is possible to position the pillar at the desired angle The bolt 11 and the cross bar 20 must thereafter be thoroughly tightened again
8. ve been developed for drilling into concrete asphalt and stony materials The stand has the function of positioning the drill and guiding the drill during drilling The advised maximum diameter to be drilled with the Profi Midi is 200 mm depending on the core drill equipment to be used The core drill stand may not be used for any other purpose than the above mentioned application 2 2 Description of the parts Drill motor The drill motor is fitted onto the sliding housing by the four supplied bolts and can be easily replaced For the advance of the drill motor the drive is effected manually via the lever The core drill must first be fixed to the motor chair The motor chair must thereafter be thoroughly tightened by means of the nut on the front side of the motor chair The sliding piece can be locked onto the pillar using the locking pin PL30071 Ensure that the locking pin on the sliding housing is always engaged if one does not have to move the sliding housing along the pillar It is also very important to adjust the screw PL30054 so that the pump pin PL10013 prevents the sliding piece to move on it s own This prevents undesired sinking of the drill In addition this must be engaged if one wants to move the lever to another pinion tooth delay or one wants to adjust the pillar at an angle Sliding housing toothed rack By means of the lever the sliding housing can be moved along the pillar A toothed rack is fitted t
