1. Fill the kettle to the desired level Do not overfill Be sure not to exceed the MAX line To close the lid push down until it snaps into place Always place the 360 swivel base on a flat level surface Place the kettle on the 360 swivel base Figure 2 e Check if the voltage at your location is the same as that of the kettle Details can be found on the label on the base the kettle Switch the kettle to position 1 Figure 3 IMPORTANT Never open the lid while water is boiling After boiling the kettle switches off automatically Disconnect Warning Be careful when opening the lid the water is very hot Wait a few minutes for condensation to evaporate After boiling water the outside of the kettle can be very hot Only grasp by the handle Do not try to lift kettle body with both hands Do not open the lid when pouring If the kettle is overfilled boiling water may be ejected The kettle is only to be used with the base provided CLEANING amp MAINTENANCE Always disconnect the appliance from the power outlet before cleaning Never immerse the base area or cord in water or allow moisture to contact with these parts NOTE Lime Scale forms over time when water is heated Though scale is natural and harmless it may produce a powdery substance or mineral like chunks that can get into your hot beverages and affect the taste While the concealed heating element in this kettle is designed t2.
