The radio is switched on and off with the POWER ON OFF button The built in timer automatically switches off the radio after one hour This prevents the batteries from running down when forgetting to switch off the radio e Adjust the sound volume with the VOLUME control e Select the wave range using the AM FM selector e Tune to a radio station with the TUNING buttons P frequency up 4 frequency down When you Keep one ofthe TUNING buttons pressed for 1 second and then release it automatic tuning will start When you have reached the end of the frequency scale you will hear a continuous beeping sound Press one of the TUNING buttons to stop the sound e The STEREO MONO switch is only operative during FM stereo radio reception Weak or noisy FM stereo reception can be avoided by setting the switch to MONO PREFERRED TRANSMITTERS You can store 10 preferred transmitters in the memory 5 on AM and 5 on FM e Tune to the desired station e Keep the MEMORY button pressed while you press ihe PRESET button on which you want to store the station e To tune to a preferred transmitter first select the wave range and then press the desired PRESET button BATTERIES e Open the battery compartment and insert as in dicated two batteries type R03 UM4 or AAA cells e Replace the batteries on time to avoid erasure of the preset stations Turn off the radio and replace the batteries within 3 minutes e Remove the batteries if exhauste
