3. 104 F 40 C Wait 30 minutes before retaking a temperature Make sure a Lens Cover is property attached Fully insert the thermo meter into the ear canal Retake the temperature Retum to Omron Healthcare Inc for repair Make sure battery is installed properly Retest If display shows battery low symbol or nothing at all immedi ately replace with new battery If you continue to have difficulty obtaining a reading call OMRON HEALTHCARE CUSTOMER SERVICE TOLL FREE 1 800 634 4350 Please tell the representative you have an Omron Model MC 505 Gentle Temp Ear Thermometer 8 HOW TO TAKE A MEASUREMENT OTE If there is any difference in the room temperature iere you store the thermometer and the room temperature where you take the measurement please let the thermometer sit in the measurement room at least 30 1 Remove the protective storage cap 2 Make sure that a clean Lens Cover is placed on the Safety Probe If the Lens Cover is dirty or missing attach a clean Lens Cover to the Safety Probe Tip by placing your thumb and forefinger on the collar of the Lens Cover and gently pushing it down Do not touch the plastic film of the Lens Cover A dirty or damaged Lens Cover may cause an inaccurate reading Push the Lens Cover down around the Safety Probe until it snaps into place 3 Press and release the ON SCAN button The LCD panel shows the Full Display for two seconds After

Lens Covers MC 505LC are available from your Omron retailer The replacement box contains forty Lens Covers Use only OMRON MC 505LC Lens Covers with the MC 505 Using other Lens Covers may cause an inaccurate reading 12 Keep Clean and Protected CARE AND CLEANING y Probe Lens To ensure accurate measurements ex keep the Safety Probe Lens clean and free of scratches Fingerprints ear wax or dirt will impede the accu racy of the thermometer The Safety Probe Lens may be gently cleaned with a soft cotton cloth moistened with alcohol Do not use a paper towel The fibers in the paper towel will scratch the Safety Probe Lens Allow forty five minutes for the Safety Probe Lens to dry completely before attaching the Protective Storage Cap Always attach a clean Lens Cover and the Protective Storage Cap to the thermome ter when not in use If you see tears holes or scratches in the the Probe Lens you should return the thermometer to Omron Healthcare for repair Lens Cover To Change or Clean Change or clean the Lens Cover after each use Clean the Lens Cover when it is attached to the thermometer by using a soft cloth moistened with alcohol Do not use thinner or bezene Dry completely with a soft cloth before reusing If you see tears holes scratches or discoloration in the Lens Cover replace it Always use a Lens Cover when taking a measurement Always change or clean Lens Covers after each use Thermometer
