2. in the package Before attaching your flatscreen TV to the TV mounting plate it is necessary to detach the TV mounting plate from the pivot arm 1 Using supplied Allen kev loosen locking bolt on top of pivot arm 2 Remove bolt and pivot washer 3 Detach TV mounting plate bv pulling up and out from pivot arm 13 Attaching Your Flatscreen TV to the TV Mounting Plate DO NOT lay your TV face down when attaching the TV mounting brackets The televikionchould be unplugged This can cause permanent damage before threading any bolt or screw into to your screen Lean it against a wall y 9 the back panel or other solid surface so it remains verticallv upright Vour mounting svstem features 9 sets of screws of varving diameter and length Before attaching the TV mounting plate to vour displav determine which screw set is correct for vour displav Locate the threaded inserts on vour TV s back panel Place the TV mounting plate against the back 2 of vour TV to determine which set of holes aligns perfectiv with the four threaded inserts on vour TV s back panel 3 Bv hand thread the screws through the rectangular washers and the mounting plate s mounting holes into the four TV inserts 4 With a Phillips screwdriver tighten the screws so the TV mounting plate is securelv attached to the TV DO NOT over tighten screws Thread screws carefully by hand before tightening If you feel any resistance remove
3. socket set Masking tape Masonry Mounting brick concrete concrete blocks Above tools Replace e drill bit with 12 masonry drill bit Hammer IMPORTANT NOTE Due to the design of the Monster FlatScreen Small Pivot Mount the center of your TV will only be aligned on the center of the wall plate when the mount is fully extended otherwise it will be offset to the right or left up to 7 180mm when flat to the wall Pre Installation Checklist _J Forwood stud mounting your mounting location must have at least one wall stud J Your view of the mounting location must be free of glare or other obstructions J Your mounting location must be near an AC power outlet Ideally the outlet should be behind your TV This allows you to conceal your display s power cord 4 Your mounting location must be at least 3 ft from any source of heat or water 4 Your mounting location must allow enough room for your TV to swing completely to the left and right on the pivot mount Refer to Specifications on page 3 TIP To hide your TV s power cord and AV cables install a Monster FlatScreen CleanView Cable Manager Installing the Wall Mounting Plate Remove all pieces of the wall mounting system to ensure you have all necessary parts Wood Stud Mounting An electronic studfinder is included Remove plastic tab on the back of the studfinder to activate battery To locate a wall stud hold the studfinder against the
4. that you seek the help of a professional installer when mounting to masonry Position the supplied cardboard template in 1 the desired location and tape template to wall with masking tape Make sure the template is level bv using the supplied bubble level With your electric drill and 1 2 masonry bit 2 pre drill a 3 deep hole where indicated by template Be careful not to drill into a mortar joint After drilling holes remove template from wall N DONOT drill holes in masonrv mortar joints 10 Masonry Mounting cont d 3 Install the supplied plastic concrete anchors Ms in each hole Tap into hole with hammer until Ma fullv seated A Py Position the wall mounting plate over the holes drilled in the wall Make sure the wall plate is level by using the 5 supplied bubble level Place the provided level on the wall plate and confirm that the wall plate is horizontally straight Hold the plate firmly in place 11 Masonry Mounting cont d With the help of another person attach the wall plate to the wall using the lag bolts and round washers as shown to the right Tighten each bolt with your wrench Turn clockwise until secure DO NOT over tighten bolts This can DO NOT release the wall plate until damage the wall plate or the surface you are absolutely sure it is secured of your wall to the wall 12 Detaching TV Mounting Plate from Pivot Arm This mount comes preassembled
5. wall where you want to mount your TV Push down the button on the studfinder and slide the studfinder along the wall until the indicator light goes on 1 Locate a wall stud at vour desired mounting location A 2 Position the supplied cardboard template over the stud and tape template to wall with D masking tape Make sure the template is level by l using the supplied bubble level y Wood Stud Mounting contd Po 3 With your electric drill and 346 bit pre drill a 3 deep hole where indicated on template After drilling holes remove template from wall Position the wall mounting plate over the holes drilled in the wall stud Make sure the wall plate is level by using the 5 supplied bubble level Place the provided level on the wall plate and confirm that the wall plate is horizontally straight Hold the plate firmly in place Wood Stud Mounting contd MM With the help of another person attach the wall plate to the wall using the lag bolts and round washers as shown to the right Tighten each bolt with vour wrench Turn clockwise until secure Continue to page 13 to continue vour installation DO NOT over tighten bolts This can DO NOT release the wall plate until damage the wall plate or the surface you are absolutely sure it is secured of your wall to the wall Masonry Mounting Masonry mounting requires specialized knowledge skills and tools Monster highly recommends
