1. MP3 and WMA files Connecting a USB Device 1 Plug the USB device into the USB port located beneath the LCD Display 2 Set the Function Switch to the CD MP3 USB position 3 Press and hold C11 to place the player in USB mode The LCD Display will show USB It may take some time for the player to recognize all the files and folders on the USB device particularly if there is an excessive number of files Playing MP3s and WMAs from the USB Device With the USB device connected press C00 to start playback The LCD Display will show the track number being played To pause playback press 00 To resume playback press C00 again To select the next track press PCA To select the previous track press KKI If there are multiple folders on the USB device the player will recognize each of folder as an album Press FOLDER UP to select the next folder The player will briefly display the selected folder Album number Press FOLDER DOWN to select the previous folder When a folder has been selected the LCD Display will flash the ALBUM number press KK or D to select a track within the selected folder To stop playback press O Repeat Play Modes You can set the unit to play a tracks repeatedly Press REPEAT to cycle through the different Repeat mode options To cancel Repeat mode press REPEAT until the LCD Display no longer shows REPEAT Repeat One Plays a single track repeatedly R

9. nd hold DDI to switch to USB mode press and hold C00 again to return to MP3 CD mode MP3 CD and CD Operation What is an MP3 CD MP3 CDs are CDs that contain MP3 music files Approximately 200 files can fit on one 7OOMB CD in comparison a regular audio CD can fit approximately 20 tracks Each MP3 file on the MP3 CD is recognized by the player as an audio track The Folder Up and Folder Down make it easier to find and play a MP3 CD track This player can also play WMA music files WMA files may be played in the same manner as MP3 files however some WMA files may contain restrictions DRM This player will not play DRM protected WMA files If you own a computer equipped with a CD R RW burner and the appropriate mastering software you may create your own MP3 WMA CDs see your burner or computer s documentation for more infor mation When creating an MP3 WMA CD it is advisable to organize your music files in folders The player will recognize these folders as Albums Loading a CD Press the OPEN CLOSE CD Door button to open the CD door Place the CD in the compartment with the label side facing up Close the CD door Once the door is closed the CD will spin briefly and the total number of tracks on the CD will be shown on the LCD Display Do not force the CD door open or closed at any time Keep the CD door closed when the unit is not in use to prevent dirt and dust from entering the CD comp
